2 al pastor 1 (half eaten) barbacoa
    Hanna S.

Lived in the area for over a year and have driven past this food truck park without a second thought. Finally pulled in! There are a few trucks, most weren't open but we were here for the tacos. There are a few options, breakfast tacos, tortas, and tacos. We ended up ordering 2 barbacoa 2 al pastor for $8- and they were great! Excited to have finally found a good barbacoa taco in the Houston area! The two salsas were really good (red was actually HOT!) definitely will be stopping back for more!

These are the absolute best tacos I've ever had! So flavorful and the green sauce is to die for. They're cheap as can be and the owner and his family who run the business are so friendly! These are truly my favorite tacos (and food, in general) in the world. I live in Connecticut and am only in Texas for a few weeks during Christmas when I visit my family- this is the first, last, and as many days as I can fit in between stop!

This is a cute little food truck that doesn't leave. They are open 9am-8:30pm. They only have a few types of meats. They're pretty good. I did really like pollo/chicken. This place is outside and there is cover with tables. No prices are not listed so we ordered 10 tacos and it was $20. So maybe $2.00 each but no sure.

I was really excited to come here because they had sopes! To be fair, my first sopes experience was in a small Mexican town in the countryside but the sopes were here were mediocre at best for me. That said, the fajita and pastor flavors were excellent! I bet they would taste amazing in tacos. Definitely coming back to try it that way.

So glad this food truck is here, because there aren't many around the area. Food was so delicious and fresh. Salsas were bomb! Took me a while to find it cuz it's not exactly where Maps says it is. I ordered a Torta and 3 Tacos of fajita which came to a total of $12. Worth it! This place is cash only. I will be coming back cuz I just love tacos so much!

Breakfast tacos were wonderful. I want to have some of here regular tacos. The red sauce is very tasty and spiced well the green sauce is also very good. Huevos con chorizo was spectacular. The corn tortillas were firm and fresh. The egg and chorizo was overflowing the taco making a thickly folded warm bundle of breakfast. I washed it down with a Mexican glass glass bottle Fresca.

Always a treat coming here. They don't speak much English but they have a good menu of taco, burritos, and more delightful Mexican cuisine. They always make my food hot and fresh. They have an outdoor dining set up also that is covered with a canopy. They have fresh iced Mexican coca colas. It is a popular stop for lunch time. They are not open Sunday from my personal experience driving by the truck but it is still there I st shuttered.

    Good selection.

I'd wanted to try La Cocina for a while for that reason and those plans finally came to fruition. You walk up to a counter that has all the ingredients for taco making right in front of you. The guy asks you how many you are going to want, and if you want flour or corn, so he can let them know in the back to make your tortillas fresh. About 2 minutes later, out came our tortillas. I ordered 3: one with eggs and bacon, one with some kind of egg and sausage combo and one non-breakfast taco with fajita meat. The fajita taco was just okay, but the breakfast tacos had me thinking about them for hours after the fact. They aren't very big, so if you're a growing boy like me, I'd aim for 4-5 of them. The guy behind the counter tried to guide us into his suggestion of 2 each, but I jumped in and said make it 3 for me. If I could go back in time, I would have done 4 and made them all the breakfast variety. Both breakfast tacos were straight bangers from another dimension. All the sauces were great and none were too spicy. I might have to return to this place sooner rather than later because I really did think about it the rest of the day. I love you, La Cocina.

I usually rock with Chycho's. Their burritos? Fire. Like, "I'd fight my own cousin for the last…read morebite" level. But today... today Chycho's betrayed me on a spiritual level. I ordered a chicken quesadilla thinking I was about to enjoy a nice, chill meal. Instead, what I got looked like someone folded a tortilla over a crying, unprepared chicken and sent it out to die again. First red flag: It wasn't even cut. Just one sad, floppy tortilla blanket with vibes of "I gave up halfway through." Second red flag -- and the one that sent me into survival mode: I opened it up and saw chicken that was straight-up pink and red like it was auditioning for a role as "Still Alive #3" on Animal Planet. That meat wasn't undercooked -- it was practically begging to go back in the coop. I stopped eating immediately because I'm 99% sure I avoided a speedrun of food poisoning. My stomach already sent me a text message saying, "We not doing this today." The worst part? Chycho's knows they can do better. Their burritos slap every time. But this quesadilla? This was a cry for help from the kitchen. Somebody in the back said, "Cook it? Nah, let's just warm it up enough to trick him." Absolutely disgusting. I've never left a review before, but this quesadilla unlocked a new level of disappointment in my soul. Fix it, Chycho's. I still want to love you -- but I'm not trying to meet God over a $10 quesadilla.

I initially googled birria tacos near me and seen a review say something along the lines of 'their birria tacos are to die for' so I had to try them out. Thank you to whoever posted that review! It was actually like 5 minutes up the street, which was so convenient. It's next to the store/gas station. Plenty of options for parking, but there's not any traditional parking lines or spaces. I just parked near the side. Also, I believe they ONLY take cash! Of course I ordered the birria tacos and ate them there. They were pretty good and I could definitely see myself coming back (especially for the convenience). I will say that I've had better (I'm a huuuuge authentic taco lover & I've had plenty of birria tacos from different places/cities). I would give them a 8/10. I was looking for it to be more on the "messier" side (packed with meat, real cheesy, loaded with onions and cilantro), but theirs was more on the conservative side lol which I'm glad they took their time making it, but I like my birria real messy! I did find another birria spot but it's 20 min away so I would still come back due to convenience. Overall great tacos!
