I've eaten hundreds of tacos at Parrilla Mixteca, and every single time I visit Puerto, it's the very first stop I make. I've tried Al Pastor all over, and nothing else even comes close to theirs! The whole experience is as authentic as it gets--everything comes out insanely fast, and you can just keep adding to your tab as you eat before they tally it up at the end. Every now and then, street musicians will wander in to play a few tunes while you eat. The setup is pretty basic--just wooden tables, plastic chairs, and simple restrooms--but nobody comes here for luxury; you come for the mind-blowing food. Then we waited as they cooked everything in front of us and handing them to patrons. We got the chile relleno ($30 MXN) and mushroom tacos ($30). We liked the chile relleno one more as it was cheesy. Both tacos were a little oily but they were good. There were some salsa stations on the side for extra flavor. There was nowhere to sit so people either ate standing or took their food to go.
