The Bible isn't just a message of feeling good. That would defeat the purpose of Jesus dying on the cross. Churches need to focus on saving souls. And people need to get that church is supposed to make you change not leave the same. Jesus caused issues where he went because he was telling people how they were living was not good. That flesh was deceiving. That's why he was controversial. I'd also like to point out that I went there looking for clothes (some still with tags never worn) to give away for kids. I don't like giving to goodwill or once upon a child. They always take the not so nice things and keep the things I guess they can charge low prices for, idk the real reason but it's ridiculous. And honestly I'm tired of them picking what they think is cute and I'm going home with clothes someone would truly need or another child could truly enjoy. Anyway I go to grace asking bout if they accept or take clothing for people who may need it. They sent me to the same places I already don't like. And here's my issue. As a church why do you have a coffee place but you don't have a place for food or a place for clothes. A church is supposed to be a place for refuge and help...FREE HELP. Not just for tithes. All I'm saying is do better. You save a life by helping people not turning them away. If you accept my money then accept necessities. Or have something attached to you for helping people. I'm tired of tip toeing around corruption and being a follower of Christ that is warm and not speaking up because people don't like it. Get a place to help people. No church is of Christ without works. Where is your place where you are helping people. NOT SENDING SOMEONE ON A CHASE TO GET HELP.

It's obvious that Pastor Clay caters to vacationers because the messages are pretty much the same each week. Over time Pastor Clay has become a too "modern". Using the term Flipping or Freaking where the F word could be used. I made a comment basically defending police officers and was told to "check my self". Three gals privately messaged me and told me to take my racist ass and leave. Another called me a racist bitch. Three other families that I know have left this church. God never goes out of style or changes to meet the times.

Their waiver, which differs from the campground's waiver, requires parents to waive negligence by the Church (i.e., staff and volunteers) that could lead to injury or death of the child. The campground's waiver, which mirrors standard waivers, only requires parents to waive injury suffered by the child (e.g., on their own), and excludes negligence. The campground's waiver, which appears drafted in good faith, is understandable and similar to many waivers parents have signed. Most reasonable parents will not seek a claim if a child gets injured or sick on their own, but negligence due to someone's actions is different. It is worth noting that negligence leading to death is so serious that there are criminal laws on this subject (e.g. manslaughter), so why a church would try to evade civil liability and/or accountability for such an event is beyond me. Further, Port City Community Church's waiver also requires parents to consent to the indefinite use of a child's picture *and name* on a perpetual and worldwide basis for any reason the Church deems necessary. The campground's waiver only requires consent for the picture, which is understandable as pictures may be shared on their social media platforms; that's not a big deal. However, the Church's broader waiver regarding the possible use of a child's name and picture indefinitely for any purpose the Church deems necessary poses safety risks if strangers worldwide can not only identify a child by picture, but would also know their name if the Church decided to publish it. Human trafficking is a real issue and I do not think making a parent agree to put their child's picture and name out to the world indefinitely, just for a child to attend overnight camp, is reasonable. Pictures, yes. Pictures and name? No. All of the terms of the Church's waiver must be agreed to for the child to attend. Again, unlike the campground's reasonable waiver which is similar to standard waivers, the Church's waiver is very broad and the church seemingly acknowledges this as it states in the church's waiver that parents are waiving substantial legal claims.

Pastor Mike: He's so funny and doesn't have a holier-than-thou complex some pastors seem to have. He teaches things that people really need to hear, regardless of wether they want to or not. The Band: They're fantastic! Sam, Sanè, DZ and one drummer who's name we don't know... (stands during I Will Live and we love it!)(If anyone knows his name, that'd be great!) The Coffee: Great prices, great drinks! The staff are so patient and kind! They go through the line like Chick-fil-A: quick and kind. If you need a church that loves you no matter where you are, you're in luck! That's literally the motto! "Love people where they are and encourage them to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ" It was hard moving half way across the country but this church has made it a lot easier. It's the best.
