Seriously, when you read reviews online of all kinds of appliance repair services, you really…read morescratch your head before tossing a coin and crossing all sorts of things in the hope that you'll get someone who seems competent and above all honest. I decided not to go for a page 1 Google search selection for 'washing machine repair W14' and scrolled through to see if there were any independent nuggets to be found on page 4. There is something to be said for a form whose name isn't AAAAA11111 Washing Machine Repair or something which is simply trying to win the alphabetical classification war. An old Yellow Pages trick, tainted with Watchdog reports. So I see a name of a bloke, not trying to pretend to be anything other than a someone who owns a repair firm that might like your business if you can find them. Still a coin spin but one that feels more like it might be worth a punt. Bearing in mind that the cost of consumer goods has come down to a point where repair is nearly a second choice for many owners, competition has forced companies into fixed price repairs. So the various franchise services seem to hover around the £50-£80 mark. Not expensive in many ways, particularly if you just want to see if you need to ship your 6-year old machine off to the appliance cemetery. This company was offering a bargain basement price for its service. Enough to make you wonder how they could undercut the market like that. But also enough to encourage you to think "what have I got to lose?" After a difficult start where it looked like the technician might get straight back in his van because there's very little parking round where I live, and having to make sure I subbed him for the pay and display, we were off. The chap was affable, polite and happy to explain what he's going to do next in the manner of a good dentist. He talked through what he was doing as he removed the motor, after checking it wasn't just a belt problem causing the drum not to turn (I was ahead of him, having checked this myself, but it was reassuring to see he was following a method I had found on the internet in the vain hope I might DIY the problem away). Ultimately, he could find nothing wrong but had a sneaking suspicion it was just a loose connection. He reattached the motor firmly, and we were back in business. Loose connection it was. Alright, you don't really want have to pay someone just to plug something back in, but for peace of mind that you're not going to have to shell-out for a brand new machine, it was money well-spent. He left a few grubby marks to go along with my own, which might upset you if you were more fastidious than me, but otherwise, though my experience was limited to one minor fix, if there were any future problems, this company would be my first call.

Have used this small local independent shop for many years. Service is always good from the…read moreknowledgable staff who are always willing to answer questions. They have a wide range of parts in stock for washing machines, tumble driers, coolers and hovers all brands catered for. They always have a good stock of washing machine and tumble driers in the shop. Often they have bargains as they gets ones which have very minor cosmetic damage hence there prices are often cheaper than those found in the big electrical stores. They also provide a call out service which I used once and the service in my home was prompt and polite and carried out by a knowledge service engineer. I only have them four stars as I have had to order my part which won't arrive until Tuesday but I highly recommend this shop of you have white goods problems. There is a small insure car park for customers.

Dan from Domex came in the afternoon and knew exactly what was wrong as soon as I explained what was happening to the tumble dryer, and within 15 mins after installing a new part it was up and running again. Delighted with the work Dan did to fix it. Left the place clean and tidy too! 10 out of 10 for Dan!

Recently, I received a call from my tenant reporting that the fridge needed replacement. I contacted The Fridge Centre, and within just one hour, they arranged for a new fridge to be delivered and disposed of the old unit! The level of efficiency and professionalism is simply exceptional. The staff are always incredibly helpful and responsive, providing a level of customer service that is hard to find elsewhere. Called and asked for a quote to replace a new gasket. He asked what the make and model of my…read moremachine was and I told him. He gave me the quote and I was happy for him to come out. When he arrived he claimed that I never told him the make and model, and that because of this it was going to be more money because it was not the machine he was expecting. On top of this he was very rude, and I had to ask him politely to not speak to me like a child. I wanted to replace the gasket because I have sensitive skin and exzema, and the doctor suggested that taking this out and cleaning it/replacing it can help with residue and mold getting on clothes. He proceeded to tell me that even though the gasket had mold on it (it was black in places), that it doesn't affect my clothes, which I find hard to believe, and have been told otherwise by many others. I asked for a receipt which he never gave me. Very unproffesional, very rude, and serious communication issues. Accused me of not telling the make and model over the phone despite it being the first thing he asked me, then hiking up the price.

My washing machine belt been broken and I ordered a new one and fixed it but when I started my washing machine again, it make a strange sound and doesn't start. I called few places which they charge around £159 + parts. When I called Washing Repair Specialist I been told it's not worthy to repair it better I get a new one, and been explain what the issue with the washing machine.
