As much as one can enjoy going to the dentist, I really enjoyed my appointment!…read more All of the staff were extremely welcoming and kind from the moment I walked in the door. As a new patient, I appreciated Dr. Gilchrist taking a few minutes to explain his practice philosophy with me and make sure I had the opportunity to ask any questions or express any concerns. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a while and was honestly expecting a scolding, but everyone was very focused instead on just moving forward, and I was so relieved from that. Stacy made quick work of the actual cleaning, and my teeth felt so good afterward! They offer a 5% discount if paying by check or cash, so after remembering that I do actually own a checkbook, it was a nice bonus to be able to pay that way.

From the owner: Preventative Care Services…read more Our office provides preventative care for the entire family. We strongly emphasize patient education during your hygiene visit. Intraoral cameras allow us to project an image of an individual tooth or area of concern into a viewing monitor for use as a visual aid. We also place a great deal of emphasis on home care, as we believe it is key to good oral health. Early detection of conditions such as gum disease, tooth decay, and oral cancer is one of the best ways to ensure the ease and success of treatment. Gum Disease Periodontal (gum) disease is an infection of the teeth, gums, and the bone that surrounds the teeth. It is the leading cause of adult tooth loss. Stopping this condition begins with an examination including periodontal charting and x-rays. If we detect periodontal disease, we will talk with you about treatment options and proper home care to minimize bone loss and restore the health of your gums. Restorative Services When restorative treatment becomes necessary, it is important to Dr. Gilchrist that the patient understands all of their treatment options. In addition to our patient's comfort, restoring the natural look and feel of your teeth is our greatest concern. We use the finest porcelain available in our restorations to emulate the translucency and integrity of natural teeth. Our knowledgeable staff can answer any questions you might have regarding your treatment.

After not going to a dentist for several years and using questionable products I was really…read moreembarrassed at what was possible. I was so shocked. EVERY person was kind compassionate knowledgeable and gave me the absolute best experience. I felt respected cared for and given full attention by everyone I worked with especially the finance lady. I was expecting judgement or to be brushed off really but she was so nice. When she came in a second time and said 'I talked to your doctor and he wants to help' and walked me through more details I cried. You can just tell how much everyone cares.

HORRIBLE UPPER DENTURE EXPERIENCE: First upper denture bad fit, rocked in my mouth. If pressure…read moreon front the back pops off, if pressure on back the front pops off. Many trips back and forth 20 minute drive one way. I wanted the old fashioned way of taking impressions and they said they do both so I assumed they would grant my wishes. That was not the case. They did digital. After several trips back and forth they did impressions. Second set of dentures was made. Still not right. Midline is off, bite is off and even with adhesive they pop off one side or the other or the front depending where I bite. Dr. Birr informed me that at this point it is costing THEM money and that they will refund my money. Turns out it takes 6-8 weeks for them to "refund" the insurance so I can go elsewhere. I was going to turn the dentures in and currently I am waiting for a "form" to come in prior to me turning them in. Dr. Birr admitted that she does not like working with dentures. I was shocked because had I known that I would have never gone to Quirt Family Dentistry for dentures. I have been without the ability to eat since December 2024. It is now May 20th 2025. I am currently waiting for the "form" so I can turn in the dentures. The other horrible experience was during the root scaling process the hygenist did not properly give time for the numbing to take affect before injecting me with the numbing agent. It was horribly painful, I cried and told her that was the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a dental office and I have had many procedures done. I informed Dr. Birr and Kelsi the assistant of this horrible experience.
