Tara did a bait and switch with my case, agreeing I had a great case... doing nothing, loosing my case and putting a clause in contract you can't go after any of the attorneys for malpractice when she agreed malpractice. Put a clause in I objected to, the case is over upon signing. So the parties I had claims against. I never could collect and no grounds to take them to court due to Tara contract I objected to. I loss over $32,000 in her bill for Nothing and the rest of my inheritance...plus she didn't do her due diligence to point out wrong doing. I was self represented in my small claims case, and wanted a second opinion when the Defendant wanted to file a Motion to Vacate the Judgment. Despite my amount of evidence to have the Motion denied, I was still hesitant the Defendant might use a sad story to sway the judge in their favor, so I went in for a consultation with Tara. Tara was very professional, personable, and knew the legal field well. She reviewed my documents, and re-assured me I had a solid case against the defendant. She printed out a section of the California Civil Code for me to use, and looked over my strategy to deny the motion. She calmed me down about worrying about the judge hearing a sad story from the Defendant, since it's a common tactic, but is not as effective with solid evidence against it. As a rule, I hate lawyers (doesn't everybody?), so I found it refreshing when Tara answered the phone personally, and spent roughly 20 minutes of her presumably expensive time on the phone consulting with me about a beating I just took from a would be employer. That beating, a verbal offer which simply evaporated the day before I was supposed to start, unfortunately does not seem to have any kind of legal remedy.
