I have nothing but good things to say: he's an excellent communicator (didn't hesitate to call, text or send photos if he had any questions or issues came up) and they did a great job! When I finally saw their work in person, I was very impressed. I've used a lot of painters over the years in other cities, and Joe knows what he's doing and is a real professional. It was a quality job, and they were neat and clean about it as well. They also showed up when he said they would and got the job done in a reasonable amount of time, and he was true to his estimate with no surprise additional charges. I also appreciated that because I wasn't living in the house yet, Joe took the time to let me know about a couple of house-related issues he noticed when he was there, even though they weren't necessarily "paint-related". I will definitely use Joe's again and I will absolutely recommend him to others.

He worked alone which was also something we liked since we didn't want a lot of people here while we were in Michigan. I waited weeks and weeks to get some of these estimates and half didn't even show up. Then I discovered Coastal Custom Color and a fellow named Matt Lempe. Not only did he come quickly, he was on time and extremely polite. He has a young family, moved here from Colorado and started his business here a few years ago. Within a day, I had a very reasonable estimate and we set a date to do the work. He estimated 2-3 days and indeed he delivered on time. He was exceptionally careful to cover everything in my home, including the walls. There was not one spec of paint anywhere where there wasn't supposed to be....the result was awesome. Had our house, pool deck and front porch painted less than a year ago and old paint showing through…read moreon pool deck and front porch, with light pressure washing (seriously, NOT a professional pressure washer). Also have a spot by handrail of pool that never got the finish coat . Had multiple problems with this company. The columns in front of house had to be repainted because the paint was peeling within a week. The owner threw it back on us and said the surface was chalky that's why it didn't stick! And, why didn't he treat it first?...No answer to that. He did return and paint them again. The office staff was rude and their painters were frustrated because the owner didn't order enough paint for the job. Now, we're afraid to pressure wash our house. I do not recommend this company.

I found Billy Smith the owner of this company at Painters pro from Home Depot website in the store…read more here in Daytona Beach. This painter cost me so much money to fix the job that he started in our home. He ruined the walls in the bathroom where he took the wallpaper out, we asked for second opinion from another painter company after we saw the work he's done and they couldn't believe the damage hed done. We had to fire him and hired another group to finish the job and on top of that it cost us money to fix the job he started. He even used a cheaper paint that we agreed on using. I'm so upset that we trusted in paying him half of the cost to paint the whole house inside and out... no money was returned.and now we have to start from scratch plus an additional cost to fix the ruined wall in the bathroom .

The first day the owner showed up with just one helper as the other employee did not show up. They needed my supplies to start the project which I was happy to provide but then the work began and it immediately went downhill. The end of day one they barely got anywhere as the owner told me he didn't have any equipment to remove wallpaper which he knew was the first job. He went to Home Depot and claimed they didn't have anything to help so they started by using water. The second day the painting began and they proceed to paint the ceilings while covering only the furniture and white paint sprays everywhere damaging lights I just purchased above my counter. The next day the owner tells me the ceiling is done although we can clearly see green paint showing through. After I pointed this out several times the owner finally agreed and it was acceptable. The next day they decide they can't get the wallpaper off and the owner googles how to apply plaster and proceeds to apply it throughout the bathroom without covering anything ruining lighting new toilets and the tub. The next day they decide to paint again and I hear a crash as my chandelier is broken. I am told they will address it later but that's the least of my concerns as the bathroom is destroyed to the point where the owner tells me you may want to come see this as it doesnt look too good and I have been googling how to do this all day. Well the plaster is now dried on the wall and I not being a professional ask him to move to another area as I needed to contact a professional for an opinion. During this time they decudec *** UPDATE I see the owner Billy Smith gave himself a five star review and called me a liar. For the record I did not ask him to correct anything as the job was so bad I had no confidence he could fix the mess he created. He even told me he had never plastered a bathroom and the only reason he did it in the first place is he did not remove the wallpaper correctly. The new painter came in and removed the rest of the wallpaper with no problems. He also kept $900 deposit for the outside of the house and ruined hundreds of dollars of my personal items in a Chandelier and overhead cabinet lights in the kitchen because he did not bother to cover them in the first place. Oh and we later discovered the room seemed dark and found all our overhead lights had been painted too. Believe me it was better to lose any amount of money to get this guy out of my house and I cannot recommend more strongly that anyone in need of a qualified painter keep searching before ever hiring Billy Smith.
