I will start off by saying Target has always been a "safe", professional and friendly environment for my family. This was true until a female Target employee at this particular location, who was collecting cash at the self checkout refused to accept a $50 bill from my 17 year old daughter. This woman told my daughter that they don't except that form of cash. My daughter was very embarrassed. Thank goodness she had my debit card with her, so she was able to use that. Her father had given her cash for allowance and was excited to spend it at Target. She visited Target multiple times a month to grab her favorite seaweed, press-on nails, etc. I called and spoke to Melinda who is in charge of the cashiers. She was very professional, kind and assured me she would get to the bottom of this issue and assured me it would never happen again. I appreciated her response. Melinda asserted that Target accepts $50's and even $100's. .... I think I need to add that my daughter is African American and this woman was an over 50 Caucasian woman. My poor daughter has to deal with racism way too much! Target should be a safe place for her. I hope that this cashier is reprimanded and held accountable for her discrimination. read more

Target has its pluses and minuses. I get some really good deals with Target. I love that with my Shipt, I can use it anywhere, for anyone, like my sister in Michigan. I also really like that I can place an order and pick it up. The system for that works really well and the kids doing the running and delivering of orders are the best! Always happy and professional. But apparently the customer service staff there tonight couldn't be bothered to help my wife and daughter with their exchanges. Ive been a Target shopper since 1986. The store in Rio Rancho has always been clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. However, I am very disappointed that they are not enforcing face masks in this store, social distancing and they are not monitoring the number of people in their stores - yet they have signs saying they require masks, etc. So which one is it? If people weren't dying as the result of this virus, I'd feel differently. However, as far as I can tell, this particular target is more interested in making $$$ than being a good corporate citizen. If Target is ok with contributing to the death toll and people are willing to shop there, more power to you. However, I will shop elsewhere from now on. Adios Target. It's similar like other Target stores, but I like to come here since it has a very nice and friendly customer service. The store is supper clean, even the rest rooms. Everything is available on shelves, I always find what I need without a rain check. Prices are reasonable, they are cheaper with Target brand products with standard quality. Produce is also good, I never leave the store without forgetting to check out their fresh fruits. The Store was almost empty of customers, with lots of staff repeatedly asking how we were doing..a good thing however.. Another customer decided to start looking through the jackets displayed on a small circular rack , three feet away from us. Two employees, including the manager, passed by but said nothing to her about being so close. Sooooo.. I asked her to back up..she refused..I told her SIX FEET ... She pointed to her mask like that made it ok.. Said "Lost a friend to Covid last week.. back up! " No response..I yelled.. She told me "I'm glad your friend died" I cursed.. My friend was young with two small children. The manager FINALLY stepped up.. and told ME I would have to leave the store if I didn't calm down... Not one word to the woman about intentionally endangering other customers, instead "Oh, your children are so cute.." Two young unmasked girls.. My friend had two little girls... Always a horrible experience dealing with online orders, I have had issue before with ordering something online that they say is in stock and then hearing nothing back and having to call them to find out my order was canceled but they still took my money, store managers are willing to do nothing to help I was told I have to buy the item at another store(so purchase it twice) to be able to get the item and then wait a few days for them to refund the money to my account. Martin said he was the store manager for that shift, he told me he could send me an empty box, said their was nothing he can do and seemed like he didn't want to help me what so ever. I am done wasting my time and money at this target. If you have the time, go shop anywhere else. Martin is a joke of a manager. read more

Pretty nice target. Most target stores I visit are very clean and organized, this one is no exception. There is a good amount of people available to help out customers who have questions or need directions to an item. The amount of checkers available seems adequate as I've never had to wait in line, and they have a good variety of stock. I love that they have an abundance of small travel bottles/items. Those things never seem to be in stock at places like Walmart. They also have a grocery section that you can find some real deals in on certain days. read more

Clean store, easy to find items as there are very large signs on ceilings to point you in the right direction, if you need help they usually don't have any attitude so good customer service. I am simply a fan of Target - namely the clearance items! This Target has a limited amount of food items so if you are looking to make this your one- stop shop you are out of luck. The employees are super friendly and we are always greeted with a smile. Since we are here so often they know us ad out little one so she always gets a sticker at check out without even asking - definite bonus points for that. Everything is well organized and marked. This Target has not been updated in the last 10 years if you ask me. The dressing rooms are like cheap cubicles and the walls feel like they're going to come down when you try and shut the unlevel door. The clothing is disorganized and is not stocked with adequate sizing. The baby sections (yes sections) are totally divided and on complete opposite sides of the store which is super annoying. Diapers and formula are separated from baby bottles, toys, and all the other baby items. Feels very dated and not bright and cheerful. Overall has a confusing layout but on the plus side there's no one ever here. read more

So I like Targets because they usually can do a one stop shop at these locations. This particular one also served as a form of entertainment since there isn't much to do in New Mexico. Want to give a review on two employees actually :) I always shop at this target and others in the area, however this is the closest and the friendliest so my Favorite for sure. There is a young man that went out of his way to make me feel like he was listening and actually wanted to help me. He took me to areas not pointing them out :) and he was so eager to find out the answers I needed . What a important employee to Target, his name is NOAH He is or was in electronics that night. Very genuine, oh and the young lady he called on for answers was no slacker :) Her name is SIERRA M. , not sure of their last names? Anyway, I was in retail for many years and customer service makes it such a pleasant place to shop and also work. I don't know if this review will make it to anyone's ears at the Target in Rio Rancho, I sure hope it does... We have been shopping here for over 3 years, and so far it has been a really nice experience. They are always clean and well stocked. The employees are always courteous and professional. I've had to return a few things, and I never have had a problem.
