I have to say shopping at target has gotten much better because the online pickup is really excellent and they prepare the orders FAST. However, the in-store experience is still pretty poor. The store itself has not been updated in seemingly decades, and many of the staff members are rude at best. read more

Poor customer service at Starbucks and poor response from Target management (as Target employees apparently man the Starbucks in the store). My kid placed a Starbucks order in the Target Store on Ireland Road in South Bend, IN. It came out wrong. It was supposed to be two Venti Strawberry Açaí lemonAid. They didn't have any strawberries because they were out. My kid was only told after the drink was made and it had already been paid for. A Strawberry açaí lemonAid without strawberries is not a strawberry açaí lemonAid. You can't tell people after drink paid for and made that you are out of the named ingredient. Starbucks Worker refused a discount or refund and walked away to begin helping other customers. I found out and went back to store to talk to manager. The same worker who provided the drinks was there. The Manager refused refund for drinks. Offered $5 for inconvenience. Implied that it was ok to sell drinks if only out of one ingredient and also because we took the wrong drinks away (I guess ignoring that her employee walked away from the transaction). Had to call corporate to get it straightened out. This is POOR SERVICE. Unacceptable! Making the customer jump thru so many hoops to get a resolution for their screwup! Resolution should have been immediate and taken less than five minutes rather than taking an hour of my time. Don't sell drinks that you can't make! Refund the customer if you've made the wrong drink. Treat customer better. The unacceptable management response teaches the employee poor service is acceptable. read more

We were at this Target yesterday and spent over $200 in items for our daughter who was moving back to her college dorm. When we got back to the dorm we realized we had inadvertently left one of our purchased bags at the self-checkout lane. We tried over and over to call Guest Services, but no one was answering....so we drove back to the store to see if any honest person had turned in our bag. When we spoke to the agent at Guest Services we were told that since no one had turned in the bag we could re-gather our items and would not be required to re-purchase these items. Wow!! That is an AMAZING policy and we were ever so thankful for this. (As it turns out, we were able to find our bag at the self-checkout lane. An honest person had indeed turned it in there, so the attendant had our purchased bag.) Thank you, Target, for this amazing policy of permitting us to re-gather our items and not having to re-purchase! It saved us a lot of anxiety! Frequently only has self check out registers open, even on weekends in the middle of the day. Im not ringing up a whole cart of items in self check out. Also has closed drive up several times when I've gone to pick up orders and there is no indication that they aren't going to bring your stuff out other then they cover up most of the space numbers. read more

This is one of my favorite Targets when home. Usually, they are speedy on marking things down, and I haven't met an unhelpful employee yet. Bathrooms are usually clean, which is something I like. Ya know, just in case. The Starbucks is also a plus. They know how to be quick about the drinks so you can get on with your shopping. This is a crazy store for Black Friday, so be careful. For a chain store, this one is on the up-and-up. read more

Absolutely horrible. Grabbed a movie off the shelf thinking awesome. Just to get to the check to be told its not supposed to be sold til the 7th. This is Absolutely ridiculous how was i supposed to know if the item was on a shelf. Then to have said item taken away from me. I will never shop here again. I feel embarrassed and disappointed. ON LINE SHOPPING... I have recently discovered that being home bound...and a senior...is not so bad. WHY ?..because I accidentally found TARGET'S website where I have been able to order anything/everything that I need without going to the store. The items are delivered right to my door(and free shipping with orders over $35.00) I just wait to "combine" whatever I need...and 3 days later...it is on my porch. During the very heavy snow, several items did not show up, I went on line and told them, and they were both REPLACED (of course Free Of Charge) in 3 days. This service has changed my life..for the better...and gives me a wonderful sense of relief that I now do NOT have to rely on others for my basic needs. THANK YOU TARGET !!! I don't have a problem with the local Target except I didn't get any help from the manager or the returns clerk with an online order from Target. I ordered drapes (4 panels) because the local store didn't carry them (only 1 panel). I've tried for 2 weeks to get the shipment. The order goes to Ohio instead of Lakeville or I get one panel after paying for 4. When I call the online number, I get someone from another country who can't seem to understand the problem and wants me to return the order or pay again. Very frustrating. I won't shop Target again. read more

It's pretty good in Target. There's a Starbucks and a Pizza Hut in here. It's very interesting that they have a Pizza Hut here. It's like... "Congrats Target! You got a upgrade in the cafe area!" So let me start off by saying Target used to be one of my favorite places to shop. And when I found out I was pregnant, I couldn't wait to do my baby registry there. I went to put my high chair together and the leg was split. The high chair is off my registry I'll add. So I took it back to one of the two local stores we have. There I found out that the high chair is no longer available in stores, but only online. Okay no problem refund my money and I'll reorder online. Just wanted to replace the same thing I returned. The manager on duty is rude and the customer service girl is new and not properly trained. So problem 1. I'm refunded a different amount than the high chair is online. Problem 2. I'm given a Merchandise Return card(the black card). As I'm checking out online I find out I cannot use the black merchandise card online but in stores only. Customer service never told me that I couldn't use it online. In fact I specifically asked the. I can reorder online..."yes no problem." Then I realize my total is significantly higher than the card I received. I then spent 3 hours going back and forth between both of the local stores and on the phone with customer service because I was told by them, that I could take the card back to the store and they could change it. Well when I get to the store they tell me they can't do it. They then tell me I had to go back to the original store of the return and they can do it there. So again at the other store I'm told they can't do it and that's all they can do. Management is called over and she is asking her employee how to do things. You're the manager you shouldn't be asking your employees how to do things. Again I get on the phone with customer service and finally get it resolved. I will never again be using Target for a registry and telling anyone I come across about this and not to use Target registry. Because if anything has to be returned/exchanged you have to jump through hoops to resolve it. So just be aware before you or someone you know make a registry with Target. read more

I had the WORST experience at this store. I have been here a few times before and it has always been extremely HOT, low amount of cashiers, and crowded but that is nothing that really bothers me. Today I visited this store and the Front End Manager, Kathy ruined my entire view of Target. She was just awful. I was using coupons and she stood there and watched over everything that was done, she was shaking her head and rolling her eyes! That is NOT the behavior of a MANAGER! AWFUL! She did not want to listen when I said I wanted to use my gift cards to pay with my purchase, not consecutively, I just wanted to use ones from a previous transaction and she was SO RUDE. Using coupons to support my family is NOT A CRIME. I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TREATED AS IF I AM ATTEMPTING TO ROB TARGET! I returned everything and left and I will spread my experience around to family friends and social media. This is just down right AWFUL. read more
