My brother and I have stayed here 2 times in one year and it's the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. I look for cleanliness and updated furniture. This is obviously a hotel that has been here along time, I'm going to look up its history, I'm sure it's rich. The courtyard and pool area is peaceful and tropical. My husband booked this place on Orbitz because it had a 4 star rating. So, we booked 1 night here. We were a late check in and had our two small children with us (ages 2 and 3)-Fast-forward: walked into room 109 and saw the base board had a couple of holes and the bathroom door was damaged. Stayed here as an RN at a local hospital, 3 nights a week for a 20 week contract. Came back for another contact and my car broke down and I left my wallet in the car at the shop, all after a long night shift... I needed a physical copy of my CC to stay here. Ok. Sure. No apple pay. I had to get a ride back to the shop to get the card. The manager, Victor, who knew I had stayed there over half a year and was trying to get a room wouldn't let me stay in the lobby while waiting for a ride. Clean, very affordable. No hang ups, easy reservation. They use to serve breakfast, but I think they are short staffed. Instead they give each guest a box of breakfast goodies, that you can take with you. The box consist of Orange juice, apple, pastry and a small bag of chocolate chip cookies. After I told him how we didn't book a room for it to come with roaches he then finally said that he would give us a refund after not taking us seriously and thinking it was a joke. Super noisy and not cheap at all. For the costs you would expect to see less homeless people around. And at least get a quiet room. I asked 3 times for quiet room. And all I got was a room with a window to a busy gas station and super noisy AC. So quiet room is the last thing I got although it was my only request. Big parking lot always found a spot. Close to the 101. I think that for the cost for a night here ($120) they could easily offer better rooms. read more

Horrible hotel. We have stayed here in the past and this time was drastically different. The room curtains do not close all the way and when people walk by, they can see inside your room. It also took us forever to get the AC working and there were tons of pieces of trash behind the TV and cigarette burn marks on the sheets. When we drove by the hotel entrance there were several men fighting and yelling. The employee at the front desk did not acknowledge when we walked in as she was too focused on her phone call. The neighborhood is unsafe and there are lots of unhoused individuals by the restaurants. Horrible customer service!! Decided to stay here for only one night and planned to check out at 4am! Immediately when arriving into the room, there was a strong funky stench and coming out of the bathroom. My boyfriend and I decided not to say anything because we did not want to be a bother and considered the fact that we were only going to be sleeping there for a couple of hours, and spending the majority of the day NOT in the hotel. Come close to checking out around 4am I decided to take a shower, while I'm waiting for the shower water to get hot, I notice little very tiny black worms. I tried to get a cup of water and pour it over so it would go into the drain. I then saw more little worms hiding in the tiles. I was so disgusted but I needed to take a shower. After researching what they were, I've come to the conclusion that they are (GROUT WORMS) So at 4am I am on my way to check out, the clerk (found a picture of him from previous yelp review PICTURED BELOW) looks as if he just wakes up from a nap and tired. I proceed to tell him "I'm ready to check out and I just wanted to let you know there's worms in the shower." He responded to me as if it was nothing new that he heard and his response was "Well you should have told us earlier" And I responded with "Well I'm sorry I just took a shower now. I just wanted to tell you because that's disgusting." His response was "Well you know I have to check your room.." Not even concerned about the health/cleanliness of the room for the guests. He then comes back accusing us of smoking in the room. His first comment towards me "I know you guys smoked in the room. It clearly smells like you did". I responded saying "No we didn't... We did NOT smoke in the room" He then proceeds to tell me we did. (Trust me if we did smoke in the room I would have admitted to it! BUT I DID NOT) He proceeded to make comments of the smell. Then I brought up how when I checked in there was a horrible stench in the room but we didn't say anything because we were barely at the hotel, we really just needed a place to sleep. Then he comes back with the line, "Well you should have told us earlier". Which I agree I should have but I didn't think they were going to treat me like this. The man wasn't going to give me my deposit back. Then I tried to get it back considering the fact that we had a horrible stay: the stench was horrible and was clearly coming from the shower and the worms in the shower. He then started yelling at me telling me "You should have told us earlier about the worms". I responded explaining "How could I have seen the worms if I just took a shower 10 mins ago?" STILL YELLING at me he said "Well you should have told us earlier" (clearly the only line he knows) HE CONTINUES to cut me off and not letting me speak saying "he doesn't want to hear it" as if he were an authority towards me! He finally decides to give me the deposit back, probably because he realized that I was right and he was wrong. The clerk was still defensive towards me saying "We were never allowed to come back and we were red-flagged" I replied, "Well I don't want to come back if you guys have worms and you guys don't care" and he ended with "WELL WE DONT WANT YOU HERE" Don't come here if YOU (their customers) want to treated like crap and want to be blamed for THEIR cleanliness of their hotel. They don't care about the cleanliness and don't care about YOU as a guest. Hospitality means owning up to your Hotels mistakes and apologizing it instead of antagonizing the customer and yelling at them. After reading previous reviews after my experience, it looks like they have history specially the clerk (pictured below) disrespecting their guests and treating them as if they don't matter. It's VERY obvious either the staff or their friends gave them good reviews on hotels . Com cause the customer service here was HORRIBLE!!! Stayed 1 night on Feb 4th. The power went out all night and day. Not 1 txt message or courtesy call or even a simple knock on the door to let us know the situation or to see if we are OK. ME and my wife sat in a pitch dark room with zero heat or electricity. Come morning time when I checked out I asked for a refund and the super rude guy at the desk flipped out and wouldn't even talk to me like I was a paying customer but instead like one of his children getting scolded. I feel if I paid full price to use a hot shower, a heater and electricity and didn't get ANY of those but a rude employee I deserve some sort of refund. Couldn't even charge my phone. What if there was a emergency? How the hell am I suppose to contact anyone? So he gave me a card to his "manager " that so conveniently is on a "emergency leave" I called the number and low and behold it doesn't work. So I emailed him twice. No reply. What are you afraid of pal? I been calling everyday and of course no manager on duty. I left my information and of course no call back. I would most definitely not ever recommend this location for anyone with integrity. I was forced to stay at this hotel for about a week early this year. Although, the place is pretty quiet, don't be fooled their is a lot of illegal activities going on at this property. As a matter of fact the owners seem to condone it. One early morning, at around 1:30 a.m. I came home from a long shift at work I had Uber to this location. Unfortunately, I lost my key card to my room. I asked the person in charge at the front desk if he would give me access to my room. Well not only did he allow me back into my room but, when I was in the shower, he came back into my room. He opened the door to my bathroom. I was completely mortified and scared and embarrassed. I start yelling and screaming and to get him away! In the morning I spoke to the property manager of the motel. He goofed me off * ignored my complain and did nothing about it. I immediately left the property that afternoon. As a matter of fact, I just a few days ago I tried. TobCheck in to the hotel due to overcrowding of other hotels in the local area. The manager of the front desk the owner of the hotel began to accuse me and yelling at me. He completely combative and telling me that I was not allowed on his property! According to him I had been loud, disruptive and a nuances. I haven't been any guests at the hotel or visitors which is not as it's by no means someone stole my wallet back in July I try to explain to him but the front desk manager would not hear of it I am not conducting a full investigation on to who book a room and went under my name because the hotel manager was extremely hostile very depressed and rude please women I hear my warning if you want to stay put do not go there! read more

Two stars only due to the price competition and the attempt to be an updated "old" run down hotel. Walls and room dividers, floors, ceilings were paper thin. The banging and foot traffic was highly audible until late at night. We asked for additional towels and the front desk said, "if we can find some". And about 4 hours later, he show up with limited towels, some of them unraveling. The bed sheets were "balled up"! Like sleeping on light sand paper. And to top it off, the TV cable connection went out at 8PM!!!! Front desk person say, "it will automatically go back on when it is fixed"!? My apt was just robbed so I tried this place and there was a foreign guy mid 30's who I dealt with at the desk and he was so rude and wouldn't rent a room for me! Refused service! I was already shaken up from my evening and this rude person kicked me out. UNSAFE and NEGLIGENT!! Parked in their outdoor parking area and checked in on Friday evening. The next morning, my vehicle had it's emblem torn off the front grill! I immediately filed a police report, insurance, and told the front desk. The front desk me they would notify their manager and contact me if they had any video etc. it took 2 days until the manager was even available and he never reached out to me. I went to the front everyday to check up on the situation. Manager had a terrible attitude and basically just ignored my issue. Said their video system was "off" and brushed me off. I expect at least a moderate amount of safety or at the very least basic surveillance of their property. Heed the warnings, stay away from this place. Not only was the front desk rude, but when I went into the room I saw a worm at the shower, the bedsheets had visible stains, there was still trash left from the previous visitors and just a nasty feeling. For what we needed, this place provided enough. We were seeing friends the next day and just needed a decent place close to the venue. It's very spacious. The bathroom is what we look at right away....and it is very clean! I didn't get to take pictures of the "before" but it's guaranteed nice. Big walk-in shower with a rainfall type shower head, very cool. Towels were clean and folded, ready for use. The hairdryer didn't work in our bathroom, but i didn't mind coz i brought my own. Truly appreciate there's enough hanging space for jackets, a table to set the suitcase on and a desk/chair use with a laptop or simply eat on. They've got a nice big TV, lots of drawers, and fridge to put essentials. Nice surprise to see electric outlets on either side of the bed that's not attached to a lamp, so more room on the side tables. Very convenient to charge phones or tablets. We got the King room and there's a huge space between the bed and window, which helps if you want another cot or you have lots of luggage. Check in was pretty standard, despite coming in late, we were still able to request a late checkout. Easy breezy going in and leaving, front desk was nice! Due to Covid, breakfast was provided in to-go boxes which was very convenient when you're in a hurry. Overall, it was a good experience, especially with the amount we paid for (over $100). I made a reservation and when I showed up they asked for ID. I showed my driver's license but then they said that they will only honor the reservation if I allow them to store a digital copy of my drivers license on their computer system. Victor Patel, the Manager, claimed that they will be cited by the police if they do not make photocopies of every guests' drivers license. This would be the first hotel that I have ever heard of in the US that is cited by police for not making digital copies of all guests' drivers licenses. Either that or the Manager is not being truthful. If they are going to require you to allow them to store a digital copy of your driver's license they should state that on their reservation page so that people have a choice when making a reservation. When you make a reservation and show up in the early hours of the morning tired after a long day traveling and the hotel that you made a reservation in refuses to honor the reservation unless you provide them the ability to assist in your own identity theft, it really sucks. read more

Ok, so with the exception of stairs in the rain, this is a nice place to stay on Ventura Blvd down the street to my surgery center. So kind to provide me extra pillows to raise my arm post surgery. I needed to move in an emergency and they canceled the reservation Without any warning we were about to leave the hotel my mother is in her 80s and it could've caused her harm. Although we were staying is not perfect they treat people respectfully and politely and you get what you pay for. My sister lives in the area and we've stayed here several times. It's always a clean, comfortable and convenient place to stay. I book directly from their website, so I don't know how it would be using a booking site. Front desk staff is friendly and efficient. The price is good for the area. There is remodeling going on, but we were warned in advanced and told that if the noise bothered us and we wanted to bail, they would refund without a problem. The noise was not a problem and the stay was pleasant, as usual. My only addition to the room would be a comfy chair and possibly a microwave. Best Customer Service I have had at a hotel and I stay in a lot of hotels. I booked my reservation online and did not pay attention to the bed selection. I had inadvertently selected a King bed. Well, I was traveling with my 24yr old daughter and that did not make her happy. They were extremely accommodating. I had made the error and then to complicate things since I prepaid, the system was tricky for them to navigate a new payment for the upgraded room. They were very patient and figured it all out.
