Have had multiple visits over the years seeing this establishment grow and have enjoyed them…read more However this was fourth and worse igloo visit. It was not clear on the website when making reservations that the menus posted were not for the igloos. Even items we asked about on the menus provided were not available (menu said available until 3 pm in igloo, it was 200 but still told no- yet we also couldn't get the steak or rockfish in the igloo. As well, previous igloo visit options provided fondue for 2 (not 5!) and could be altered for one meat and one seafood eater however this time we would've had to at $240 to get both. At minimum $120+$10-$12 extra to add one skewer. Although the ambiance is an "experience" it was not a satisfying culinary experience. As well, it was not clear we couldn't divide our checks up amongst each couple as most all restaurants can do. (Can only do 2 checks, we had 3 couples) It was more cumbersome on the waitress and us than just charging each couple one bill, we weren't sharing food or said put half this on each etc. it was clearly just 3 couples. As for what we did get... if crab dip hadn't had a shell in it I wouldn't have believed it had any crab in it, just cheese flavor. Steak skewer was well done (no choice given) yet veggies were aldente (to say the least). Wine was good but limited selection. I really don't understand why I can eat one think inside yet can't 20' away we would've had a much better experience if some accommodating had been offered on any of the above issues.

Wine slushies are my new favorite drink…read more Fellow Yelper Dee M and I headed over to Natali for "Wine Down Wednesday", an event they hold every week during the summer season. This no-admission-fee event offers food for purchase from a local caterer, wine and my beloved wine slushies. There was a young man singing and playing guitar. They also have their tasting room and store open for purchases. The location is lovely, rustic but comfortable, they've built a lovely building and covered porch. There were patio tables and chairs both under cover and out along the vineyard. We stopped first at the local catering tent. I got the pasta salad, which was delicious. Nice, firm pasta with a lovely dressing and fresh, crisp veggies. Very nice on a warm evening. Then to the slushies - which were all kinds of yum, kind of like a berry pina colada, very tropical. There were people milling about, we joined another group at a large table, a group of ladies, very nice. All in all, a pleasant evening. We decided we'd definitely come again next year. Wine slushies!

Nice winery if you're in the Cape May area. They have a beautiful light, airy and bright tasting…read moreroom. They have some very unique wines (banana wine anyone?). The also offer free self guided tours of their vineyards. Why only three stars? When I arrived with my friend on a Thursday early afternoon there was only one frazzled employee helping everyone. At the time there were only two tables sitting (6 people total) and the two of us. We noticed everyone sitting were doing tastings so we decided to ask if we could also take a seat. The woman was hesitant to let us sit but did. I really wish wineries would offer bar stools so you don't have to stand for your entire tasting. Since we were able to sit and relax we ordered a cheese and cracker platter. Very reasonably priced for the amount of food we received. After about 30 minutes there a huge crowd of people arrived. The one employee was completely overwhelmed. Finally an older gentleman came out to help her. Although the woman helping us was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine the fact that she was spread so thin made it tough to get any personalized attention here. Hopefully they have more help at peak times.

Visited in late April. Ordered the reserve tasting. Substituted a golden port for the Chardonnay…read more The Pinot Grigio was drinkable. The Chambourcin reminded me of Carmenere. A decent light red you could pair with anything without offense. The Cabetnet was not for me, but I enjoyed the Merlot and took a bottle to dinner at Primal by Mia, to accompany a steakhouse dinner. Generous pours and comfortable seating make for a decent experience. It ain't Napa but it's a decent way to spend a rainy afternoon.

I planned this beautiful three day weekend with my wife at the Jersey shore…read more I made a mix tape (Are there still mix tapes? I put together a song list) of all of her favorite songs. We're going to jump in my old Corvette, listen to tunes and go to a Bed & Breakfast on the beach. Well, my Corvette transmission decided to self destruct on the highway. I pivoted, had the car towed and threw all the luggage in the Tesla (Gotta love the Tesla, my energizer bunny) turned on Carole King and headed south. We wake up the next day and its pouring rain outside. Really mother nature, are you trying to sabotage my weekend? I made a mix tape... Quick thinking, If I were back in New York, what would I do? Easy, go to a local vineyard and chill out. Are there vineyards in New Jersey? I did a yelp search and found Jessie Creek Winery in Cape May New Jersey. Lemme put on Nat King Cole and set the nav to Jessie Creek Winery. Pulling up, its a little mysterious. It doesn't look like a conventional vineyard but more like a place to buy John Deere apparel. Once inside, I can see the place is jumping. There is a lounge singer in the main area and art sales in the room to the left. To me, the concept is a little off. Look at the board, buy your glass or bottle and have a seat. I mean, isn't the purpose of a vineyard to offer all of their wines for tasting? You might have 3 red wines, I might like the Pino more over the cabernet. People usually buy a case for a holiday party and want to taste what they'll be serving. Hey, I'm not going to figure out their business plan. I'm just here to have a glass of wine and relax. My wife has a glass of wine in her hand and is listening to the lounger singer. My wine choice was their Cabernet, it was pretty good. My wife is happy so I'm happy. Mike Charlie - Mission Complete L is for the way you look at me..
