I read through a good part of the reviews before we stopped and was afraid to stop. But hey...when you need gas and you gotta "go"...you stop! It's older for sure, the bathrooms are acceptable, and could be cleaner, but honestly, you can thank your fellow traveler for the conditions most of the time (people never cease to amaze me). They have everything you need and then some in the store. They do have a food area inside that sells a plethora of items in case you're hungrier than just snack hungry. The prices for snacks, drinks, etc. are just like any other store of this caliber. I didn't think the employees were rude, nor friendly...just doing the job and handling customers as quickly as they could. Anyway, how can you not love the name of the place? read more

I just stopped here for the second time last week, it's apparently the exact distance from my house on my way to the Hattiesburg Train station where I have to pee :-) I know TMI :-) It's an Exxon station with food, but gotta love the name :-) There's 2 big painted signs out front that says Tater's, I half expected to find Ron White inside LOL He's a comedian who's most remembered line is about when he was arrested and the cop at the station asks me if he had any aliases. And just being a smart ass and said, "Yeah, they call me... Tater Salad" or Tater for short. Okay enough cracking myself up, so I mention food and yes they have all the expected snack stuff but they have a full kitchen that serves food all day long and into the night. Lot of fried stuff, chicken, fish, liver & gizzard, tater babies (whatever that is), burgers, and even salads. Plus, they have Hunts Brother's pizza, and I like that. Do not stop at this rip off joint, staff is rude and unless they know you, you're gonna get screwed. All I needed was a small cup of water to take diabetes med. the wormy lil girl cashier said it'll be 2:24, I asked for a cup of water, she said for the cup, we don't care what you put in it. I said ok, I'll be back, grabbed the smallest cheapest bottle of water they had, said I'll just take this. She rang up 5 dollars n change... I said you know what sweetheart, I've changed my mind about buying water or fuel here, don't think y'all want my business, cuz you have done nothing to earn it. I hope her boss or owner reads this. Excessive pricing on virtually everything. Then they enter the prices rather than scanning. Result is they show one price but charge a higher one. In my case it was .30 higher on a bottle of water vs marked price. I chose not to challenge. Really not worth the time or effort, but that example was just one item (multiple items purchased with same practice). Bottom line is I just don't like shady businesses. Congrats. You cheated me once but I will never stop here again. BTW, this place is filthy. Bathroom is disgusting. read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of one because when traveling Highway 98 from Mobile, AL to Hattiesburg, MS (or vice-versa), there are only a few places to stop if you need to use the restroom, get gas, snacks, etc. This is the absolute worst place! I think more truckers tend to stop here because they do have pumps for the big trucks. Gas prices are decent considering you're in the middle of nowhere and there are plenty of pumps. The store is dirty. Seriously dirty. The bathrooms are dirty. There were actually dead roaches on the floor of the women's restroom and my husband informed me that the men's restroom was worse. ICK! They have a hot food "deli" type area here with half of the store set-up with booths and tables/chairs. I noticed several truck drivers kicked back with their feet up in some of the booths reading newspapers. However, after seeing the dead roaches in the restroom, there's no way I'd purchase hot food items from here. I'd hate to think of what the kitchen area looks like. I needed to stretch my legs since we stopped anyway for a bathroom break, so I took quite a few photos. The photos actually make the place look nicer than what it is. Try to avoid this place unless you're having a bathroom emergency or unless your gas tank is running on fumes. I know I won't be stopping here again in the future unless nature absolutely makes me do so! read more

The most disgusting store and restroom stop we have made since living abroad. Fecal on the walls. Toilet overflowed. Paper all over the floor. Sadly, the store area floors showed just about as much grime. I would highly recommend never buying food here or stopping for gas and a restroom. read more

This is the NASTIEST gas station I have ever been too! DO NOT GO THERE Women's bathroom had used tampons thrown on the floor. Dirty toilet paper all over! Men's restroom was just ask gross- my husband and son couldn't even use it. ALL kinds of sanitation issues! read more

First, the place is filthy. Let's move on... The bathroom looked like something out of a 3rd world women's prison. No toilet paper in the first stall. A mess in the second. Had to play musical pumps to find a gas pump where the touchpad worked.. 3rd one was the charm. Kinda hard to answer "yes or no" questions or put in your PIN when the keypad doesn't work. They have "food" but you take your gastro-intestinal integrity in your own hands if you eat it. Everything is fried, including the cashiers. Mine was high as a kite and the other one was chit-chatting it up on a cel phone while 9 people waited in line. If only the gas seizes up my engine, my visit will be complete! read more

This is a very dirty gas station... It is only receiving the second star because it's one of the only gas stations in this area. The entire store was very dirty... The restrooms were disgusting and I would suggest not using the facilities here unless absolutely necessary... read more

This store has the worst bathrooms I have seen in a while. Didn't eat from deli as their lack of sanitation is very noticeable.

I have never seen a bathroom so disgusting both toilets overflowing with human feces. Flies in the Delhi looks like the tables have a been white down in a week. Get fuel and food before you get to this location. read more

Stopped for snacks and to use the bathroom on our way back to Arkansas. The employees were really nice and they had good food but I was shocked at the conditions of the bathrooms. The men's and women's rooms were both disgusting. Great chicken. Best potato wedges. Worst bathrooms. read more

This place is pitiful!!! Don't stop!! Women's restroom deplorable: handicap stall had no soap no working toilet paper dispenser in both stalls! the toilet seat was so old and chipped and peeling it was disgusting! only 2 of 3 stalls working, light fixtures have at least 100 bugs in it, dried toilet paper in 2nd stall seat, sink area had only 1 soap dispenser. This place was a PIT. My friend was going to get a soda but heard the store had no ice. How does a big truck stop like Taters stay in business. read more

I personally know the owner, he owns a couple other places. And it's hard too keep good help ! I'm not defending him ok, just saying . He's did what he's able compared too other ass holes ! Most trashy and rude women I've ever met. they were screaming cussing (in front of little kids) through the stores every time I've stopped there.They had awful service to their customers and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone ,if possible try and go anywhere else because they don't deserve the business.
