We went in for piercing for my underage son. Note for others who go make sure you have a birth certificate a passport or copy of a passport will not do. Luckily I had one in my phone so I was able to upload it when needed for the release form. Piercings are not cheap these days so I am assuming this is on par with how expensive they are at other places I do recommend if you're gonna get yours pierced or anything. pierced not going to a place like a Claire's where they pierce it with a gun. It's much more sanitary to have it pierced with a needle as they do here. I recommend Vyxx who was our piercer. She was knowledgeable and helpful. My son is very happy with the end result, just know that you do have to purchase the gear here as they do not allow outside jewelry so that will add to the cost just factor. I came to them with a helix piercing that had been completely botched by another shop (Norristown Tattoo Company), where the piercer had inserted a nipple bar into my ear. Yes, a nipple bar--something totally inappropriate and harmful for a helix piercing. Vyxx immediately educated me on how dangerous the original piercing was and walked me through what needed to be done to fix it. They carefully removed the improper jewelry, which was so poorly placed that my skin had actually threaded onto the nipple bar. Vyxx replaced it with proper jewelry and gave me thorough aftercare instructions to ensure my ear heals correctly. Their professionalism and expertise were unmatched--I felt so cared for and informed throughout the entire process. If you're considering getting a piercing, go to Tattoo Galaxy in Willow Grove. I got pierced by Jay who was incredibly patient and made sure I was informed about what was happening every step of the process (which I greatly appreciated)! This is my fourth time being pierced, and hands down my best experience. He was professional, and clearly knowledgeable about piercings and taking care of them afterwards. He was very thorough in ensuring that the process was clean and sterile. He was super friendly and made sure I was completely at ease. It was also clear that the establishment takes COVID precautions seriously. Upon entering, both my friend and I were asked to hand sanitize and had our temperatures taken. The room was big enough for all of us to be in there safely. The piercings themselves barely hurt, and now, a day later don't hurt at all, unlike some of my other piercings. Yeah this place I would not recommend to ANYONE! The customer service here is trash, the gentleman Jay McColm has a very poor attitude. He called me and asked was I still coming to my scheduled appointment and I told him yes, I am 8mins away... he said fine see you soon. I get there literally in 8mins and he tells me "oh I can not take you today and I'll have to reschedule. I understand policies, appointment policies, etc but you could have simply said we would have to reschedule on the phone call. Additionally his attitude once my daughter (16yrs old) and I arrived onsite his attitude was extremely poor and he was real snappy. CUSTOMER SERVICE in 2021 is something all companies, people, etc should focus on and try to be better at but today's experience was poor. He was like "I could just take your $20 for being late"... sir that $20 is not the problem.. I am not worried about that... your attitude though is the issue! I walked in on a Saturday afternoon to get my septum pierced. Jay was a breath of fresh air, especially after a bad customer service experience at a shop down the street. He answered all my questions, made sure the jewelry was as small as he could use, and took all the necessary steps (and then some!) to keep everything sanitary. Came here for Jay McColm. Booking an appointment online was very easy. They have procedures in place to limit contact but they are fairly reasonable. Jay is a very knowledgeable and skilled piercer. His friendly personality and confidence puts you at ease. Jay was pretty much ready for me when I arrived. He explained the process very clearly and what to expect while we were in the wait area. After asking me if I had any questions he went back to the room to finalize his set up and then came back for me. In the room, Jay was very meticulous and organized. He sanitized thoroughly. Changed his gloves often and checked that everything he needed was in place and to his liking. He opened the sterilized packages in front of me. He did all this while talking to me so he made me feel very relaxed. Jay has very good hands. Jay's technique was quick and gentle and the piercing was done before I knew it. Walked in with questions about whether I wanted a rook or daith piercing. Jay went over all my jewelry options and what to expect from both piercings. I was anxious and he was calming and relaxed. I got a rook piercing. It didn't hurt as much as felt like a lot of pressure. There was some tenderness for a couple days but no pain. I am so unhappy with the tattoo on my wrist! I did everything I am supposed to care wise I have other tattoos and it looks horrible now that it's healed! The G is empty and looks like there is no ink and dug into my skin! On top of being unhappy about how it healed everything I asked for was told no or that wouldn't work!
