Went into Iron Will yesterday for a fairly large leg tattoo. The artist, Kenny, was very polite and accommodating to what I had in mind. His ability to transfer what I had in mind to on my leg was flawless. He builds great rapport and his experience of tattooing shows with minimal bleeding or swelling. I just got my first real tattoo here and I couldn't be happier! Lesya texted me immediately after I made a consultation appointment online and designed a tattoo that was exactly what I wanted! I loved the atmosphere of the shop, and I felt really comfortable during the process. Usually I hate being touched in general (hairdresser, nail salon, etc.), so I imagined I'd hate getting my ribs tattooed. However, I felt very safe and comfortable, and it hardly even hurt! The tattoo was relatively small line work, so I was actually able to arrive and leave in under an hour. Lesya was really sweet and easy to talk to, and the price was also totally reasonable. I didn't think I was a big ~tattoo person~, but I'd honestly love to come back again and again because the entire process was just that great. read more

I honestly feel like I don't have the words to explain how much I love this place. I should preface saying I started out looking for a new artist after just not feeling comfortable in the shop I was going to. I looked around on Yelp and went into another local shop where everyone was rude and acted like I was bothering them so I kept looking and found iron will. I emailed the shop and got a response from Sam Sea who was super nice and answered my questions. I came in for a consultation with sam and he was the first one who understood what I was trying to explain, (I had a bunch of pictures and only an idea of what I wanted and needed an artist to draw something for me- which is hard to find someone who can put your mind on paper). So sam was the first artist I found who listened to me and understood what I was looking for. The energy/ vibe in the shop was great, by far the best shop I have been to. Very relaxed and friendly which is again, really hard to find! So sam has been working on my arm for a few months and I've been ecstatic with the outcome and what he draws up for me. He is incredibly talented, as is his wife who also works at the shop. I am so glad I found this place and I recommend to everyone! read more

Tattoo came out wonderfully and Sam is a gifted artist...however the atmosphere and level of professionalism were not great. he didn't begin tattooing for about 25-30 minutes and obviously the stencil and set up takes a bit, but mostly it was because he was dealing with his kids who were in the shop as well. Both kids were very up close and personal to me as if I was their babysitter. His youngest kept asking me what was in my bag and only after the 5th time he asked (I had already shown him my sunglasses to try and satisfy him) did Sam tell him to stop. Sam then said he was going to go grab food for them and left me alone in the shop with his children which put me in a really awkward position seeing as his kids were climbing on the counters and the youngest literally almost ran into the street and suddenly it was my job to get him back inside. once the tattooing actually started his kids went into another area of the shop to watch a tv show or something, but Sam was still trying to look after them while he was tattooing me. I want to be clear that NONE of this was the kids' fault, they're just curious young kids. It was SAM who made it frustrating by not being prepared and leaving them with me, a total stranger. I also know through other reviews as well as talking to friends who have been tattooed by him that it's not like his babysitter canceled or school got out early, apparently his kids are almost always there. In addition to all of that, he barely talked to me and seemed pretty disinterested in myself and my tattoo. overall, not a great environment/experience, but the tattoo is clean. read more
