We don't know how this Dr is still in practice after googling him. His rate of complications are way above other surgeons. There has been many newspaper articles regarding this. Two patients died soon after surgery. He also stabbed someone citing self defense and untruthfully answered questions from the medical board. Use caution and research before using this Doctor. He was able to remove several kidney stones from my right kidney, including one rather large one, while I was under anesthesia. The surgery only left a small scar on the right side of my back. He sent me home with enough medication to get me through the healing process with very little pain. He also went out of his way to try different medications to ease the spasms from the stent he left in my kidney. Leaving the stent was his way of protecting my ureter from an enlarged uterus pressing on it, and also to make it easier for the gynecologist to see it when he performed my hysterectomy. I still have kidney stones in my left kidney, which he said we will discuss options for in the next month or so. I trust Dr. Dersch completely and know he has my best interest at heart (that's not something many can say about their doctor). I would never want to go to another urologist. He is very kind, understanding, and patient. He explains procedures to my daughter and I in words that are very easy to understand, answers any questions we ask, and makes us feel safe and at ease. He also has kind eyes, a sweet smile, and treats his patients with respect. I highly recommend him.

Veterans who served this country deserved continuity of care and transparency, not sudden disruption and uncertainty. Many patients had established relationships with their doctors for years, only to find themselves scrambling to locate new providers and navigate insurance confusion during an already stressful transition. What makes this even more frustrating is that public statements during the sale process suggested patients would continue to have access to their insurance coverage under the new ownership structure. Yet many patients later experienced uncertainty or loss of access depending on their plan participation and contract negotiations. The bankruptcy itself was tied to massive Medicare billing discrepancies reportedly totaling hundreds of millions of dollars. Unfortunately, it feels like the people who paid the price were the patients -- particularly seniors and veterans who depended on stable healthcare access. Healthcare organizations should prioritize patient care and loyalty during transitions, not leave vulnerable populations feeling discarded. I sincerely hope veterans and affected patients receive the support and continuity of care they deserve moving forward.

I met Dr Hann in the winter of 2023. I had trauma to my hand that resulted in Dr Hann saving my…read morering finger and my little finger. I had subsequent surgeries to help with scar tissue that occurred, all the way up to the most recent, in May 2025. I called Dr Hanns' office about the possibility of an infection. His answering service contacted him, and he texted me, asking for pictures. We tried multiple ways to send pictures through SMS, but had to use email instead. After he looked at the pictures, he said yes, that needed to go to the hospital.. That is something I expected. What I didn't expect was that Dr. Han was out of the country on vacation. And here he was texting me back and forth while he was on vacation. He did tell me that he would be back in the US at the end of the day on Monday and would see me. Dr Hann has always been very professional. He's been very upfront about the pros and cons of what he was doing. He's been upfront about the potential for success and minimal improvement. I highly recommend Dr. Hann; his office staff is terrific, and I highly recommend them. Always helpful and accommodating if I had to change an appointment. Again, I highly recommend Dr. Hann for any type of hand surgery you may need.
