Eric helped us identify key areas of improvement that will help our business not only in the short term but the long term. He was able to work with us to set up our monthly reporting and helped us switch to biweekly. This helped up keep a better eye on cash flow and not have to rely on our line of credit just to make payroll every 2 weeks. He also helped us come up with a performance-based incentive system to motivate our staff to go the extra yard when it comes to efficiencies and material cost waste. This may not sound like a big deal but it has already reduced our overhead by quite a bit and pretty much paid for most of the engagement ring off the bat. Just received a phone call from someone from this company - but it took me over a minute to find out who he was and what company he was from as the caller ID didn't look legit. He was looking for the owner. Fine, but I'm the gatekeeper and my standard line is "What is this in regards to?" He wouldn't answer. After I told him I was the VP, he still wouldn't tell me what it was about. I stated again - what is this in regards to? I didn't think it was an unreasonable question and I told him so. His answer "Jesus Christ, lady!" and he hung up. Good thing I actually got the name of the company (which he mispronounced the first time.) I don't need to be cursed at by a slick and rude salesperson. read more

We have a small family business that was established in 1962. Succession planning has been something we have been wanting to pursue. TAVAS said that they could assist us in restructuring to work towards our succession plan. Much of the TAVAS team is very knowledgeable and a new corporate structure was established, but no one could assist us on how to correctly navigate the new structure in our accounting program. We were left trying to figure this out by ourselves after spending over $200k! When I contacted TAVAS to get assistance on how to set-up our new, multiple accounts and entities, I was going to be charged more money!!! International Development Services was brought in by TAVAS to help us in the restructuring of our procedures, which was very helpful, but again, the daily functionality was not explained. At this point, we are left paying our account each time we have questions and hopefully, we will figure it out through trial and error, but for $200k, I expect TAVAS and IDS to provide great customer service and explain how we navigate the new system with our particular accounting program. We need procedures in place for our specific needs, but no one would assist unless we paid more money. read more

I figured I would write a word about how our time working with Tavas went. We worked with a gentleman named Kevin whose unique business experience and dedication to our company was apparent after his first week onsite. One of the most significant areas of improvement has been the organization of our financial statements and reporting. This may not seem like a big deal but if you cannot trust the data contained in your financials you are not able to make sound reliable business decisions. I just wanted to provide some feedback on the time Laura and Tavas in general spent consulting with our company. Her knowledge initiative, and practical approach made a significant and lasting impact on our operation, team accountability and financial performance. Laura introduced us to the Critical Path Method or "blood wall" which we used to address ongoing issues by identifying causes and roadblocks in the system responsibility with clear deadline. This tool gave us clarity and structure and solving problems efficiently. She also emphasized the importance of weekly "Management Accountable Meetings" and guided us on how to run them effectively. Laura showed us what topics to cover, how to document notes and how to ensure consistent follow-ups. We now have Monday morning meetings with the owner, operation manager, and finance manager. Laura highlighted the need for job costing and detailed estimating on all service work. By implementation this, we can now accurately access whether we're coming in under or over our quotes and understand why. I feel foolish and taken advantage of. Shame on me for being gullible and taken in by the fast talking salesperson - and trusting without first checking reviews. We specifically requested a special needs trust that would not in any way affect our adult disabled child's social security benefits. The one they created was in fact, NOT acceptable to the SSA, which put our child at risk of losing benefits. It was only a chance review by the SSA that we discovered the trust was NOT acceptable and now we have to pay another firm to do it correctly. They may know taxes and businesses, I would not trust them with Special Needs' documents. read more

This company is a scam. i didn't even make an appointment, they show up under a guise of "lets just look into your taxes for no charge and see if we can help you" Then ask to authorize looking into your taxes by signing and "agreement", all while assuring no fees will be charged unless they can do something for you, they then use this "agreement" to collect an unauthorized fraudulent bill. I suspected fraudulent practices early and cancelled before they began, they showed up anyway uninvited, i had to throw them out of my property! (tresspassing) fortunately i keep good records and have messages, recordings and texts cancelling before they started. however I'm sure I am now going to have an attorney go after them for my time to battle their fraudulent bill. BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT EVEN ALLOW A PHONE CALL FROM THEM. read more
