Here is what we noticed: - We arrived for our 7 PM reservation and there was already a line. We were seated in the patio next to a table of 8 or 10 people that were really loud. It was a little annoying at first since the rest of the patio was empty, but it too eventually filled up and the whole room got loud. - The menu is pretty extensive and according to our server the two sections are divided into local specialties and national specialties. - We decided not to order a bottle of wine this night, but there were a lot to choose from. My wife got a glass of Prosecco and I got a local beer. - We ordered the beef tartar to start, which was very, very good. Following that, we split the bigoli and a side of grilled vegetables. The bigoli pasta was like a carbonara and it was absolutely amazing. - We decided not to have dessert, but our server came by and offered us a complementary limoncello or genepi shot. We got one of each. - Service was good...attentive, but not overbearing. Bottom line: Make a reservation and go to this place... It's well worth it!

The food here was great. The staff was accommodating despite our limited ability to speak Italian. We shared the beef tartare to start. I had the Pesce San Giorgio and my husband ordered the orchiette. Everything was enjoyable. Be aware that there is a 3 Euro "cover charge" per person. Maybe that's normal in Italy, but we thought it was odd.

The restaurant itself has picnic tables to sit outside and you can view the chefs making the dough as you are ordering your pizzas. You can't go wrong with your order but everything is delicious. Service was fairly quick; 20 minutes for 5 pizzas and over a dozen empanadas.

There are some benches and lawn chairs in the front of the place. Like many businesses in France, this place is only open for lunch (12-2pm) and dinner (6-10pm). The owner operates by himself and during dinner time there are a lot of pick up orders, so expect a wait of up to 40 minutes. But the wait is well worth it. And be patient, there's only the owner doing everything. If there are no orders ahead of you, the wait is as little as 10 minutes. Some years ago we had a really good pizza in Italy and have been searching for something similar to no avail. At La Roulotte we finally found the perfect thin crust, wood fired pizza. We've tried fancy places in the US that claim to be Neapolitan pizza certified but honestly those can't even hold a candle to this place. We tried four different pizzas in our two visits here: Napolitaine: tomato base, mozarella, olives, capers, olives and oregano Forestiere: cream, mozzarella, mushrooms, onions, bacon, ham, garlic Romana: tomato, mozzarella, parma ham (or breasola), tomatoes, arugula, basil Valdostana: tomato, mozzarella, smoked bacon, egg, garlic Honestly I liked all of the pizzas. The crust was just perfect. Out of the four, the Forestiere and Romana are the real winners. I really liked the Valdostana too, the egg on it tasted really fresh. The Napolitaine got a little too salty, with the capers, olives and anchovies attacking your tastebuds at the same time.
