Phenomenal beverages and the veggie burger was great. Service was solid - Affordable as well!

The bacon cheese burger was really bad, fries bad and soft and the michelada bad too. Wouldn't come back here.

    Delectable pita chips and hummus

I had been wanting to make it back to this place ever since I stopped for chips and hummus in the fall with my parents. I had veryyyyy fond memories of the chips and they did not disappoint on round 2. My friend and I intended to come for bar et bouffes; however, we were too enticed by the whole menu to limit ourselves to the confines of a pre-set menu--it was a good deal though! We ended up ordering the chips and hummus, parmesan fondu, pulled pork sandwhich, and 1/2 kilo of wings to split. It was a lot of food that's for sure. The fondu was not what we expected but suuuper tasty. Overall super quite place with great decor and reasonable prices--I love the cathedral theme. Tres hip vibes.

Randomly came here after getting off my flight and idk why but I wasn't expecting much but boy.... this was way better than I thought it would be. Staff was also friendly and again, for a bar, this place had really good escargot!

Pulled pork, wings, hummus and salsa with tortilla chips

Saint-Sacrament is a cool, rustic-looking bar in a sweet location just across from Station Mont-Royal. At first we were planning on going for the Bar et Bouffe event on this week but when we arrived and saw the regular menu, we decided to split a bunch of things off that menu instead. Food: - 1/2 Kilo BBQ Wings - Brought to our table in the big bowl they used to toss the wings and poured onto the parchment on the paper... what a fun presentation! - Pulled pork sandwich - A little disappointing compared to everything else. I didn't find the sauce smoky or flavourful enough. - Hummus and salsa with tortilla chips - Crispy and lightly spiced homemade tortilla chips. The hummus was really tasty. The salsa was chunky and went perfectly with the chips - Parmesan fondue - We thought it would be a dip but it was actually two pieces of breaded and deep-fried parmesan fondue. Unexpected presentation but SUPER delicious and worth a try! Service: Quite attentive and REALLY efficient. Atmosphere: A little bit loud but to be expected for a bar/ bistro like this. The woody furniture and bartops are very, very nice.

Really nice place! Can't believe I never came here before. It's got an awesome character with wooden furniture but also plasma screens. Excellent beer on tap. Excellent pub food. They make good fries and great BBQ poutine with soft braised pork that just melts in your mouth. We were here on a rainy Sunday evening and it was far from full. The beautiful staff were really nice and they looked like they were having loads of fun with their friends at the bar, and thus ordering seconds, and finally getting the bill proved a bit of a task... Reading through some reviews had prepared me for that though :) we will probably be back!

Good beer selection. Had some really good food to. Chicken wings were spicy and juicy. They are friendly, tattooed, and won't look at you funny if your French sucks.

You walk in and there's a clothing store on one side and black curtains straight ahead. I just stood there confused for a second until someone suddenly appeared and escorted me through the curtains, down a long dark hallway, and into this intimate, dimly lit bar. Turns out, I had accidentally stumbled into a speakeasy. The space is tiny--maybe 6-8 seats at the bar and a long banquet along the wall for 10-12 more people. No menus either. They ask what you like and don't like, then craft a cocktail specifically for you. The pours are generous and the bar is stocked with top-shelf liquor. About a drink and a half in, I realized I needed actual food immediately and had to leave. The staff was friendly, personable, and chatty, and because the space is so intimate, you naturally end up talking with the people around you. Definitely more of a solo or date-night spot than a group hang. Such a cool, unexpected experience.

The first time, the music was extremely loud, and it seemed like they were short-staffed. The bar was completely packed, and there was only one bartender making drinks, so the wait was a bit longer than expected. We decided to give it another try, and I'm so glad we did. The second visit was amazing! The bartender working that night was incredible--she clearly knows her craft and made our drinks quickly without sacrificing quality. Every cocktail was delicious, and the overall experience was much more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend The Coldroom. My only suggestion would be that, with a space that busy, the bar could really benefit from having an additional bartender during peak hours. It would help keep wait times down and make an already great experience even better.

YES TO EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE…read more You walk in and are immediately immersed in a forest like ambiance. Hanging plants and funky music draw you into the main bar area as you're greeted by the server. Jess was energetic, attentive, & super knowledgeable. She made awesome recommendations and gave us some of the best service we have received in Montreal! We started with the Burrata & Prosciutto which came with some legitimately delicious fresh baked bread that was similar to naan. A lighter portion but enough for 5 of us to pick at. We followed with some pizza - the Mush Pit 2.0, Salsiccia di Vitello, & the Bianca Royale (which Jess recommended). Each pizza had 6 slices and the crust was on the thinner side. Each one would get 10 stars across the board, seriously. Two of us shared the Caribbean Queen which was a rum based cocktail that came with a little ~ razzle dazzle ~! Seriously one of the best meals & some of the best service we experienced during our week long trip. Food and drinks came quickly and there was plenty of seating. THANK U JESS!!

They took me INSIDE. Through the restaurant. And out the other side into this absolutely fantastic hidden courtyard. Excuse me?? Why did nobody tell me we had upgraded accommodations? The back patio is one of those spaces you'd never know existed from the street. There are stone walls, greenery climbing everywhere, strings of lights overhead and some seriously cool artwork and murals. It feels tucked away from the bustle of Old Montreal and, once the lights came on, had a really warm, relaxed atmosphere. Most importantly, nobody seemed remotely concerned that a tiny Italian Greyhound had joined the dinner party. I was welcomed right in. Mum ordered the trout over couscous, which looked extremely impressive. She did give me some of the trout. Dad ordered the steak frites. I repeat: Dad ordered steak. At a dog-friendly restaurant. While sitting next to a dog. He did not share. I feel like we've covered this issue before. Dad had wine, Mum had a Diet Coke, and I spent much of dinner curled up comfortably with Mum while monitoring the steak situation. There were developments. None favorable to me. But Wolf & Workman is exactly the kind of place we're always hoping to find when traveling: somewhere the humans don't have to compromise on having a genuinely great dinner just because I'm with them. This wasn't simply "there are a couple of tables outside where you can put the dog." I got the good patio. Dogba's verdict: 5 paws out of 5. Dog welcome: enthusiastic Surprise hidden courtyard: exceptional Murals: excellent photo opportunities Evening atmosphere: Mum approved Mum's trout: apparently delicious Dad ordering steak in my presence: provocative Wine for Dad: yes Steak for Dogba: I'd prefer not to discuss it Would absolutely return. Although next time, when someone says Wolf & Workman, I expect considerably more attention to the wolf portion of the clientele.
