Called for an estimate of a complete roofing tear-off and shingle replacement, including sheathing replacement in areas that are leaking. The lady I spoke with said somebody would be out in a few days to take measurements and they would email me an estimate. She then called back the next day and told me that they couldn't provide us with an estimate because we are out of their service area. We live in Baldwin Township, MI., about 1/8 of a mile north of East Tawas, Michigan so I'm not sure how we are out of their service area. Over the years we have both seen many signs of Tawas Roofing advertising their work being completed well north of our location. I just don't understand why they would blatantly lie about something so trivial. If they didn't want our business they could have just said they would not be doing any work for us. Although, I do not know why they would not want our business as we have never had any work done by them in the past and do not know anybody who works there. read more

I'm not a handyman or a guy that builds houses, so when it comes to replacing a roof I'm a duck out of water. So when the roof on my house, garage, and porch needed replacing, I started researching contractors and asking around for referrals. I recently had a new complete new roof put on my mothers home. They arrived as scheduled. Put new lifetime warranty shingles, drip edge, replaced rotten plywood, new chimney flashing and cleaned up the mess. They started at 730 am and were done at 315 pm the same day. All the workers were friendly and very professional. The cleanup and protection of the flower beds was outstanding. There is ABSOLUTELY ZERO evidence they were ever on the property but for the beautiful new roof on the home.
