I've used Taxfile for the last 4 years for my accounts. They were recommended to me by a friend and I took advantage of a 10% discount they were offering. I've dealt with Ewelina there who is absolutely fantastic!! I'm self-employed and I call her up regularly in January, (every year I always think I'm going to be more organised and I never am) stressing about getting my tax return done and she calmly and efficiently sorts everything out for me. One time I left it to the 26th of January and she still did it. Cool company, professional, friendly and a lot cheaper than a tax assist company just round the corner from me. I thoroughly recommend Taxfile and look forward to seeing Ewelina again next January! read more

Hi. I don't often write gushing reviews but this company were, once again, incredibly helpful so it is my way of saying thank you to Cristina and co. They managed to sort out quite complex (to me) tax situation on my tax return this week - and have done so in the past too - and it just makes a confusing situation a total breeze ... because they really know what they are doing with accountancy matters and just sort it out for me while I wait.(And they're really nice!). I just came back from Taxfile in Tulse Hill and just have this to say: Excellent service guys (and girls)! I walked in - with no appointment just like their advert said - explained that I was having terrible difficulty filling in my very confusing tax return and, in no time at all, they'd sorted it all out for me right there and then on the spot! Established in 1994.

Beginning way back in 1994, and continuing as Guy Bridger Limited from 1997, we originally started business offering only CIS sub-contractor tax returns but quickly developed the service to help the self-employed, local businesses and higher rate taxpayers with their tax computations. Along the way we added tax and accounting services for taxi drivers, cab drivers, landlords and more. We also offer Capital Gains tax expertise and tax investigation help and, more recently, professional help with disclosures, written tax advice and tax planning for things like inheritance. Taxfile has over 100 years of combined tax and accounting experience. It's incredible to think that the key personnel have administered over 30,000 tax submissions in the past 20 years!

Thanks a hell of lot of your ser vice...Couple of years ago HMRC trying to claim £15000, first I avoided the letter thinking of I can get away with it!!! The letters kept on pouring in threatening me with bailiffs and calling my place of work which, at this point I realised that it could not be avoided. I came into Taxfile and met this guy called Guy Bridger who looked at me and said don't worry with highest confidence knowing it won't be issue. I was thinking how this man can be so calm and cool when I am loosing sleep and totally stressed out!!!! He told me to bring all the documents to bring like p60 s, receipts and CIS cards which he said it's great that because I kept everything hoarded. He said that's all, great; you will get a cheque in post I was surprised to hear that I was going to receive a cheque as I was preparing the rest of my life to pay £15000 which I didn't have!!!! Some people may think £15000 is small money but for me I didn't have even £500 in savings book!!! Thanks to Guy and the Taxfile team and I received £3500 cheque and I was over the moon and had nice trip to Ghana where I invested it. That's the first one and again I had the same situation last year covering for 2006 -2011 undone self assessments and this time Guy said I could charge you £400 or I could set up an appointment for me to go to Tax office which will not cost me a penny !! obviously I took Guy's advise and gone to Tax office with my P60 s and other related documents covering those period and Guy made an appointment for me in Tax office and I submitted all relevant documents like Guy said and two weeks after I received the letter from HMRC saying no further action will be taken against me which has now given me the confidence to open and answer the letters and now I have the full control of my finances and peace of mind . HMRC even hinted to me that I may get a tax refund soon. I strongly recommend Guy and Taxfile team because he been so helpful and not after my money and more interested in peoples peace of mind and trust and he has a customer for life. read more

guybridger oli came in to do his tax and neglected to check the calculation before signing his authority to it being sent to hmrc he had student loans to have included in his calculation as his earnings were over 15000 that year the tax offer noticed he had authorized it to be filed without the loan repayments being part of the calculation 9 months later he came rushing in demanding a refund of the very reasonable fee of just over 200 plus vat all things to do with his business and tax were dealt with in accordance to standard practice we can only say we are sorry for his news and any tax now due is only the correct amount and he has had 9 mths use of those funds this is very releva nt today as many students who will face loans in future are marching in London as a protest to student university fees sorry for your news oli yes I did do a basil fawlty walk but as you argued for so long about your issue I had to walk out before you would kindly leave the office that evening its very rare to have a problem like this and Her Majestys Revenue and Customs do have checking in place if finding it difficult to pay please refer them to this error not on the web as we do sympathise but can't offer a refund. Do not be deceived by Taxfile's relatively low prices, this shambolic organization miscalculated my tax bill for last year by a staggering £1000. When I questioned this error the belligerent manager flatly refused to discuss the matter with me before storming off. In summary, my experience of Taxfile has been incorrect calculations and a Basil Faulty attitude to customer service - unbelievably awful. read more
