I would have rather just paid the penalties at the time that I filed instead of being surprised by letters from the IRS and PA. I can only assume Philadelphia will be contacting me shortly with more penalties. I reached out to him about the discrepancy, and he told me to call the IRS and take it up with them. He's been pretty terse and cocky, and frankly a little rude and off putting throughout our interactions. I can say that he filed the return pretty quickly after I got in touch with him (but it was the off season). I went with someone else this year.
