Always enjoy coming here. It's always packed and you meet a lot of SAHM-I'm not one of them but it's interesting to here how they became one and their enjoyment of being home with the kiddos The bathrooms were clean upon this visit. They need to check periodically to make sure it remains clean, stocked & safe.... Hands up one of my FAVS! read more

Well maintained, plenty of green space, and a safe place to spend time with family. What more can you ask for? I found out this spot by searching for a nearby park with a playground. To my surprise I found a real hidden gem and was surprised by how lively and peaceful it was for families. Check this place out for you next picnic skip the busyness of Piedmont Park and come hang out in the burbs. Keep it clean and beautiful. read more

Taylor-Brawner Park is located right on Atlanta Road in the heart of Smyrna and while it is not a massive park, it is about 10 acres of wide open space and is a great spot for a variety of activities for the family and puppers! The main staple of the park is the paved walking pathways that outline the park and also weave around the various buildings and fields throughout. In addition to the walkways there is a small amphitheater, playground, fountain and several covered pavilions. If being outside isn't your thing, you can rent space in one of the two historic buildings onsite, the Taylor-Brawner House and Brawner Hall. In addition to renting these spaces, you can also rent the outdoor pavilions or concert space as well! There are onsite bathrooms at the base of Brawner Hall, which is nice...no porter potties here! And I would be remiss if I didn't mention my favorite part of Taylor-Brawner park...Food Truck Tuesdays!!! They have a variety of trucks that come through and hang out during the summer months every Tuesday evening and it is always a great and delicious time! My only gripe with the park is the parking, or lack there-of. They run out of parking really quick, especially on those eventful Food Truck Tuesdays! They usually roll it over to the church next door, but even then it gets tight sometimes! Overall, it is a solid local city park! I will continue to come by for afternoon/evening walks, and for sure will be by on Tuesdays! read more

This is probably my favorite park to go to for some fresh air and to let me little guy run around. It's never super crowded (that's not counting the food truck Tuesdays though) and there's soooo much green space to have a nice picnic or just enjoy people watching. There's a nice sized walking path, a play area for the kiddos, covered areas with benches to sit and eat, and even rocking chairs where you can just hang out on the porch. We love coming here when we just need some outdoor time and just one of those places where you can come, hang, and remember sometimes all you need is to get outside and take it all in! read more

Taylor-Brawner Park is a big spot for local like Food Truck Tuesdays, mommy playgroups, and community holiday events. The park's parking fills up fast, but nearby churches open their lots. The playground has a few swings and two large pieces of equipment. One of them is better suited toward larger children (4+). In general, I don't like this playground for toddlers, but bigger kids will have a great time. If you like walking, this is a nice, simple, level walking space with benches and landscaping. This park is always well kept. read more

My favorite park in Smyrna!! The grounds are always clean. The community is really good at cleaning up behind their pets. The park offers a playground area for kids. The play area has seating and tables for adults to watch the kiddos play. Restroom are available. The trails are good for walking, running, cycling and skating . The park allows you to rent space indoors or outdoors. The area is very picturesque . The park is situated around this big beautiful white house with the plantation porch which is perfect for photo shoots or just sitting in the rocking chair. Starting in the Spring and through the Summer, Smyrna hosts an event called Food Trucks Tuesdays. It's always fun and relaxing. I believe Smyrna is a great community and my family and I really enjoy coming here read more

We reserved this space for a baby shower. When we arrived to start decorating and set up, we found out that we could not access the building until 2 o'clock which was the time that the event was actually going to be starting. Asked the contact if we could pay for an additional hour and she told us that was not permitted. We left and went to my friends house to start getting everything ready and then they called us back to let us know someone was on the way to go ahead and unlock the building for us.. When I got back to the building, I was met by Brian who got all the doors open, showed me where everything was and help me unload my car. He made sure we had what we needed then left us to have our event. My rating is based on the location of the venue and how helpful Brian was. He checked on us as our event was going on and made sure he hung around in case we needed anything but was never an intrusion. Considering this is a space that is rented out, some areas were a little dusty and dirty and I'm pretty sure there were mouse droppings in the kitchen. Overall, we were happy after everything was sorted out. The review would have been higher had they gone through and cleaned (tidied) the house a few days before. read more

The park is a great space. Food Truck Tuesdays is held during the summer. There is not enough parking, the parking gets full very fast when there are events held at the park or Brawner Hall. The grass is kept manicured and they have bikes you can rent to ride. The park is bigger than it looks from the street. read more

Terrible first impression of the event space on the park. I scheduled an appointment for 2pm to tour yesterday and came ready to pay, however, when I arrived at the scheduled time the receptionist was on the phone. We could see her, because her door was open. Me, my mother, and girlfriend, walked and talked and waiting for twenty minutes until my mother physically walked into her office. The lady claimed that she didn't acknowledge us because she did not see us, which is impossible as we were less than ten feet away, talking, and moving around. She then gave a four minute tour and didn't show us chairs until we asked. She also didn't try to sell the place, showed no pictures or discussed what previous renters had done. I believe she didn't want to rent to us. She was very rude, and refused to take responsibility for her unprofessional behavior. read more

This one star is based not on the park but on the facility Brawner Hall. If I could give negative stars I would! Went for a tour of hall for a wedding. Decided to book it and paid half upfront. Now Teressa never VERBALLY went over the contract. Matter of fact it was emailed to me! TWO days later after a personal horrible situation I ended up needing to cancel the booking. They charge $300 for canceling!! So for meeting this lady for literally 20 minutes I forfeit $300! I went to her in TEARS! She seemed like she literally couldn't give two F's! Idk WHY she works in hospitality! This was horrible! read more

Taylor Brawner Park is great for all ages. There are two big play sets, one for the younger kids and one for bigger kids. The park also has a long, paved walking trail that meanders through the large, manicured lawns. The trail is great for walking or little kids riding bikes. Additionally, there are three pavilions where you can have parties along with clean bathrooms on site. read more

Initially we parked in the wrong lot but that worked in our favor (where the bait and tackle shop is). There were lots of families out having picnics and fishing. We did a 1-mile loop in the area and were able to see the yurts. NOTED . Beautiful sites to take in before we ventured to the main lots with the visitor's center. Not only are the trails well marked, but there is ample parking across multiple lots. The attendant at the gate entrance was so kind, welcoming and JOYful! We ventured out on the red trail and it was gorgeous. To my surprise, the trail was full today. It seems that Sweetwater is a populated date spot!!! We saw folks of all ages out with picnic baskets, journals, coloring books, bathing suits ... it was AMAZING! We hiked to the end of the red trail and back, venturing off trail to be clear to the River only once. By far, this was one of my favorite hikes and definitely a place I'll revisit to explore some of the other trails.

I made the suggestion to walk the trail instead of just walking around the neighborhood. Best decision ever! We started the trail at the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area at Paces Mills. The trail length is 3.8 miles and offers a great work out. The terrain varies from flat to slightly inclined. In addition to getting that heart rate up you get to experience what feels like the perfect place to unwind and unplug. It's the sounds and sights for me! The waves created in the Chattahoochee river, the sounds of birds chirping, the sight of plush tees, and bridges. It truly is a natural escape from a busy suburban lifestyle. A few things to note: 1. You can access this trail from two different parking areas. The lot on Interstate North Parkway is free of charge. However, it is a small lot. The larger Lot at Paces Mill is $5.00 per day. You can make the payment via an app. 2. this is a multi- use trail. As such, you can find people doing a leisure walk, jogging, biking, skating etc. motorized items are not permitted on the trail. 3. if you don't own a bike, there are rentals available. The company that is located at this trail is called Movatics. You can find them in your App Store to get started with your rental. The advertisement notes that it is free for your first hour and $3.00 per hour after that. 4. The park is open from dusk to dawn just like most trails and parks. I highly recommend stopping by this trail, it will not disappoint!

The trailhead is located on Hwy 41 just north of the river. Parking appears plentiful, but I don't…read moreknow if it completely fills up on the weekend (as we visited on a Friday late-morning). You can access the lot from either direction on Hwy 41. You first need to pay the $5 parking fee to recreation.gov. The instructions are fairly easy to follow; the whole transaction is done via smartphone. It probably took 5 minutes or less. The paved trail heads east along the river and crosses under I-75 before turning north. The trail is well shaded for much of the way, though it gets sunny as it ascends a significant hill just before the 1-mile mark. That was about as far as we went on our initial visit, though the trail kept going for, I think, at least another mile. There are nice views of the creek as well as (early) of the river. When we went, there were a fair number of others walking or running, so it never seemed too isolated.

Over time, though, the start times have drifted -- sometimes beginning 10-15 minutes late and wrapping up early before the next session. It's frustrating not knowing when the actual instruction time begins or ends. Another issue is the inconsistency with the coaching. The coaches seem to rotate frequently, and there doesn't appear to be a clear, consistent curriculum from week to week. Some coaches focus more on warm-ups and running than on skill development, while others (like Odell and Ronaldo) do an excellent job teaching technique and engaging the kids. Unfortunately, we haven't seen them in a while, and switching days hasn't helped us find them again. We've also noticed that while the club doesn't require cleats or shin guards, several kids wear them, which gives them an advantage during drills and scrimmages. It would be helpful if TOCA clarified equipment expectations so all players can participate on an even playing field. Overall, TOCA Marietta has potential -- especially when led by strong coaches -- but the inconsistency in scheduling, coaching style, and structure has made our experience uneven. With more stability and clearer communication, this could be a great program.

This venue is in the perimeter area near target and the forum. There is street and garage parking available for free. There is a separate entrance from the forum. When we arrived we were offered beer and wine. Then the game hosts came and introduced themselves and provided instructions. They divided us into two teams and had us select our nicknames and team name. Then we headed into the game room. We played several different games like wheel of fortune, family feud, and price is right. We had so much fun. After the games we returned into the first room and had food. I definitely recommend for team and friend outings.
