I am extremely busy in my own practice but I decided it had to be checked. I made an appointment with Dr John Korolewski. Dr Korolewski and his staff were fantastic. They took their time with me and explained all of their procedures. Dr. Korolewski referred me to Endodontic Specialists of Wisconsin. The soonest that Endodontic Specialists of Wisconsin could get me in was in two-weeks. Granted, on a scale of "0" being no pain and "10" being the worst pain ever, I was a "20!" All good, I will take antibiotics. Even though Wednesday is a very busy day in our clinic, I cleared my schedule for Wednesday, October 16th. I drove an hour to Sheboygan and I arrived at Endodontic Specialists of Wisconsin 15-minutes early as requested to fill out paperwork. At the appointed time, a staff person took me back to perform an x-ray. I explained to her that I had already had a panoramic view performed at Dr. Korolewski's office and I do not want more radiation and a duplication of service. I told the staff person that it wasn't her that I was upset with but this should have been explained to me BEFORE my appointment. She proceeded to take the film. She then took me back to the treatment room and I told her that I needed to speak to the doctor before we continued. Dr Joshua Davis came in and I told him that I did not want another panoramic view which was additional radiation and a duplication of service. He stated that is was a "different type" of view. I told him that should have been explained to me. I also stated that if we are going to continue, we need to have better communication. This is where it all went south! Davis was EXTREMELY rude and condescending. A pompous jerk is how I would describe him! I went for my regular teeth cleaning appointment on July 28 and was very relaxed about the safe…read moreguard Dr. Martin' s office had in place. Called in from their parking lot and was only one in waiting room. My temperature was taken by a double masked technician and taken immediately back to the procedure room. The Technician double masked also explained new equipment. A special machine with tube near my face took the air near us back into the machine. The whole experience was as always very professional and with their anti COVID measures I felt very safe. I appreciate all their procedures and can recommend them.

The first appointment was canceled because the surgery center said they never received paperwork from his primary doctor. However, his doctor and nurses told me the paperwork had been sent weeks earlier. I understand that phone calls may have been made, but I provided an email address on my son's paperwork, and I never received an email, text, voicemail, or other notification explaining that there was a problem that could result in his appointment being canceled. After the appointment was rescheduled, I again received no call, text, email, voicemail, or reminder. I had to reach out myself just to find out when and where my son's appointment was. The next morning, I was trying to figure everything out and had already sent my son to school, thinking I may have missed the appointment. I later realized the appointment was actually in the afternoon. By that point, I had spent the entire morning trying to sort out the situation and ultimately asked them to cancel. I understand that they have a cancellation policy, and I was respectful toward the employee I spoke with. What I don't feel was fair was how little communication and support I received leading up to the cancellation. What is most upsetting is that they now will not reschedule my son and instead want us to travel approximately two hours to Milwaukee for his appointments. When I asked about transferring the referral somewhere closer, I was told that I needed to find a provider myself. We were new clients, and I initially really liked the environment and felt hopeful about my son receiving care there. Unfortunately, after this experience, I feel dismissed, unwanted, and unsupported. I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for reasonable communication and support when it comes to my child's healthcare. I truly hope management takes situations like this seriously, because families should not feel like they are being pushed away because of a situation that could have been prevented with better communication.
