I've been a loyal European Wax Center customer for over a decade. During my previous visit, I was told I had two waxes left on my pass. That was fine with me -- and if I hadn't had any left, I would've happily purchased another package, as I always do. At checkout this time, I was given a total, and I mentioned that I still had a pass remaining (since sometimes they don't realize I have a package). I was completely dismissed by Chris, who bluntly said, "No, you used all 12." When I explained what I'd been told, he responded, "I can't verify what someone told you when they were leaving to have a baby." That comment was completely unprofessional and unnecessary -- I never even mentioned who told me that information. Had he simply explained the situation politely or asked if I wanted to purchase another package, I would have understood. But the tone and lack of respect were unacceptable, especially in front of another employee and a customer. I ended up just paying to leave, only for him to later text me my wax history -- as if that excused how I was treated. I understand times are tough, but good customer service should never disappear. We discussed that she should have informed us about the rate increase when we made the appointment. She agreed to maintain the original price for the continuation of our procedure. We explained to her that the total cost of completing the necessary work would amount to approximately $10,000 - $15,000 which is a significant amount. We scheduled the next appointment, but she texted us to inform us that she decided that she would be charging her new rate of $250 per hour. Needless to say, I promptly deleted my initial 5-star review, which I had given her far too early in her work on us. We have since found a new facility that charges us half of what we were paying. Remember, electrolysis is a labor-intensive and expensive procedure. It's crucial to do your research before choosing a service provider.
