Paid in advance to rent 6 tables, 6 chairs, and linens. Heard nothing by 345pm on delivery day and had to phone - - was told "all delivery trucks are out" and "I'll try to find out which trucks has your stuff and have the driver call you." Delivery finally happened about 5pm; driver was alone so we had to help unload the truck!?! The exact same thing happened on the pick-up day - - nothing from them until I phoned at 4pm-ish. Had we been told it would be late afternoon delivery & pick-up, we wouldn't have lost many hours waiting for a call (our function location was near but not at our home). The condition of the tables and chairs was appalling - - very dirty, dented, split and badly chipped plywood table tops; filthy, rickety folding chairs. We had to track down a couple of "normal" patio chairs for two people who would have fallen badly using the rental chairs. The only good thing about the rental was the linens - - they brought the colors I requested, and all were very clean and nice looking. Will never use them again, and will never recommend them - - will actively discourage folks who need party stuffs. read more

Taylor Rental needs to get some new employees and take some classes on how to run a business. My husband and I rented a man lift to take of a tree that needed to come down immediately the pick up date was on a Saturday. My husband went to pick it up as planned and was told upon arrival that the lift had accidently been double booked upsetting yes but understandable people do make mistakes. My husband was told to come back the following Saturday, he arrived to find out they had reserved the wrong lift and the one that he needed was not available. We where understandably upset we had people coming to help us and the tree was dangerous and need to come down asap. Taylor Rental offered no discount or anything just a "sorry". We where dumb enough to think that we would have better luck the third week so the following week we go to pick up the lift and guess what it was double booked. Outdated & Dirty Tents, Tables & Chairs in terrible condition. Service was slow and rude. Was part of organizing a major fundraising event this past weekend. Here are some of the issues we had with Taylor Rental of Vestal: Tents were set up 1 to 3 days later than promised. Many tents were worn and ripped. The main tent was FILTHY (see photo) and was promised by Ralph for 3 days that he would clean it. It took a phone call to the owner the morning of our event to have anything done. Apparently Ralph was just going to ignore it. This tent alone cost over $5,500 to rent. Tables and chair arrived a day late. They were not unloaded where we asked them to causing many more hours of work for our volunteers. The tables were falling apart - many had legs that didn't work, the tops were very rough, and the edges where falling off or missing. Many people setting them up had splinters due to the poor condition. It was obvious that the chairs were brought from another event without being cleaned. Most had to be washed again - and that is a lot of work for 800+ chairs. When I asked Ralph (the service manager) about it said there was nothing he could do. We will definitely be looking for a new supplier next year and recommend you shop around before using Taylor Rental in Vestal. If they treat a $10,000+ rental contract this way how with they handle your smaller event. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place. Just yesterday I walked in around 10 minutes to close but I was just picking up a filter and figured it wouldn't take more than 30 seconds. I walk in and I see the employee at the counter already counting the money for the register. He doesn't say anything but asks me what I want and I tell him I wanted a filter. He immediately says that they probably don't have it before I tell him what it is. I then tell him that I had spoken to somebody on the phone earlier (who sounded very friendly) who told me that they certainly did have the filter. After he hears this he sighs at me and begrudgingly tells me I can go back to the shop, seemingly annoyed that I was there. So I go back to the shop and after waiting for a minute at the window i decide to open the door to see if anybody was there and as they weren't closed yet I didn't see why there wouldn't be. I see an older gentlemen in the back who doesn't say anything or ask what I need but instead gives me the same rude gesture that a child uses before they inevitably exclaim "What?!". Again, this makes me feel like I'm somehow inconveniencing the employees by giving this place my business. TLDR: I walked into this place after having spoken with a friendly person on the phone earlier in the day only to be greeted with two rude employees who took turns giving me dirty looks. All of this because my presence there meant that they couldn't close early. Extremely unprofessional. read more

Had an issue with my snow blower that was still under warranty through the manufacturer. Taylor's is the authorized repair shop. I dropped it off and was expecting a long turn-around time--they called in less than a week and made the necessary repairs. They were fast and courteous and I was very satisfied with my experience. read more

Very disapointed. Rented an electric drain snake that had a green ready to rent tag on it. Drove 25 mile round trip to get it, got it home and it didn't work , wouldn't even turn on. Another 25 miles and an hour of my time wasted and they gave me another one that worked. Didn't even offer a discount for all the trouble i went through. The rental guy said this is the rental business and it happens. They obviously didn't bother checking it before they put the green ready to rent tag on it. 8\19\20. Three weeks ago I brought in my lawn tractor for service and other things. Was told it would be a week to 10 days before its even looked at. 2 weeks and 5 days later tells me my lawn tractor blade wasn't sharp on 1 end of the blade. So on Tuesday 8/18/20 I went to lowes and got a replacement. Brought over the new blades same day on Tuesday and ask them to put on for Wednesday 8/19/20. So i can get my tractor back. On 8/19/20. Talked to the new owner and tells me he will get it fixed. Neither to say wasn't fixed until i told them ill be by to pick it up. I'll do it myself. So i got there and was told 102.50. I said What. FOR WHAT. Oil change and Spark plug. Wow. WHAT A RIP OFF. Charge me for that amount. No way. So carl dropped the price to 70. After paying 37.50 when I brought it in 3 weeks ago. ALSO TO NO COMMUNICATION TO CUSTOMERS AND CARL WAS VERY RUDE PERSON. IF I WAS THE OWNER I WOULD FIRE HIM. VERY RUDE PEOPLE. read more
