After finally receiving the tile and sending him the second picture, he MUST have agreed they didn't match because he asked for a picture of the box label and told me he was in contact with your rep. I brought the boxes back immediately. This is when I encountered meeting you. EVEN if I had been wrong about this order, which I wasn't , you DON'T treat a customer like that! NO, your prices weren't cheaper, they were actually a little more, but you did NOT charge shipping. That is why I drove the hour to pick them up from Buckeye. Four hours into it...I wasn't driving another two to prove my point. I spoke with the sales manager from Adex in New Jersey, who covers the ENTIRE Northeast, and he confirmed that you do not have an account with them. So wherever you were ordering the tile from, your board would NOT match the official Adex board I had. Tom should have told me when the order was placed that that was not like your board. So it wouldn't have mattered if I wasted another two hours in the car, because you would have said your board is different from this one. So don't try to tell me that this could have been avoided if I had brought the board in. If you were a half way decent sales person, you would have worked with me. Instead, you charged $120 for TWO BOXES to return the tile when it was shipped to you for free. Plus, of course, 20% restocking. I just reread all of the reviews that your customers wrote. They are spot on! So here's another 1 star. You should learn to speak nicer to your customers...hence, your arrogance.

To explain my experience I have uploaded some photos of my experience…read more Graigh had been contracted to remove the existing lifting engineered wood in my townhome and replace it with new flooring due to issues with existing floor lifting. I trusted him to take care of this issue without me being onsite. The original contract photo shows the first item estimated by Snovak flooring was to remove the existing floor. This was never done by Graigh or his subcontractors. I arrived 4 days into the project to find new flooring being down directly parallel to the EXISTING floor with no underlayed padding. This was NEVER discussed with me once. Graigh did not return phone calls for over 24 hours and later said "I'm a busy man" as an excuse for not reaching out. He cited time as a conflict and that in his opinion nailing the existing engineered wood to the potentially faulty subfloor was the best alternative. As much as I appreciate the idea, this was never mentioned in over 4 days of work by Graigh once to me until I discovered it in person. A photo of the quality of work with the shoe molding that was put back in place as finished work is attached. Also a photo of one of many new defective engineered wooden pieces placed. The final job unfortunately did not show interest in fine detail and quality. Graigh was not on site at the completion of the project and had ZERO idea of the final status of the project. The final worksite was left filthy, the wooden floors covered in sawdust/debris and total disregard for a professionally clean working site. When the job was done, requiring over 4 hours vacuuming the main floor, garage, emptying the trash of wooden debris not cleared, cigarette butts, and mopping/cleaning counters throughout the home. Based on my poor experience with the owner, unwillingness of the company to see how laying new floor on an existing problem is not what they had contractually agreed to and the owner's attempts to repeatedly collect FULL payment for a service not completed this is the best review possible.

So much so, that I decided to contract with them again this spring to do the additional bath and a half and replace all the interior doors in my house (replacing damaged hollow core doors with solid oak doors that they stained with the same stain used by the cabinet manufacturer for the bathroom cabinets). Some of the things done included gutting all the rooms to the studs, LED night lights in the cabinet toe kicks and tile in the base of the cabinet under the sink (have you ever dealt with damaged cabinets because the sink leaked and rotted the floor of the cabinet?). Additionally, Doug Avery Kitchen and Bath has great communications, you always know when they will be there (and if they will not), you are never left sitting around waiting and wondering if they will show up (too many contractors could learn a lesson here from Doug Avery Kitchen and Bath). I will definitely contract with them in the future and I will recommend them to others.

I've had Otis retrofit shower faucets which was not the easiest project in my opinion. I ordered the parts needed and Otis had to cut through ceramic tile to add the new faucets and corresponding plate. He had to redo the pipes which were set up for separate hot/cold faucets into a one unit operations. The end result was a perfect setup, leak free and very professional looking. Otis brought an assistant who removed and replace a kitchen faucet with corresponding sprayer. He also replaced an aging garbage disposal. Once again, professionalism with an eye for detail and excellent installation. These guys do not waste time, go on coffee breaks, they stuck to the job and met all my expectations as real professionals. About one-year later we had a nasty blockage with minor water leaking in our basement. I called Otis, who was backed up with work but agreed to come out early the next Saturday morning. I called on a Thursday so this was really accommodating and a relief. Once again, Otis fixed the problem, routed out the the street, tested all connections to ensure the problem was fixed.
