Great selection and awesome people. If you are looking for some American food then this is the place. They don't just have burgers either.

Curry 36 is a Berlin institution and definitely worth trying if you're looking to experience the…read morecity's famous currywurst. We ordered the classic currywurst with a bread roll, currywurst with fries, and a couple of Radlers. We also picked up a bottle of their signature curry ketchup to bring home. The currywurst was tasty and satisfying, though it didn't quite blow me away as much as I expected from all the hype. Still, it's a delicious, affordable meal and a must-try while in Berlin. The line moves quickly despite the constant crowds, and the staff are incredibly efficient. They also sell their popular curry ketchup and curry spice, plus there's a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There are standing communal tables, giving the place a lively street-food vibe. Best of all, it's open late into the night, making it a perfect stop after a night out. Overall, a classic Berlin experience that's well worth checking off your food list.

3.5 stars When I first heard about the Currywurst, I assumed…read moreit was a curry-flavored sausage with spices mixed in with the meat. But actually, it's nothing but a pork sausage topped with curry ketchup, a thick tomato-based sauce dressed with curry powder. The sweet flavor of the ketchup dominated the dish, and the curry powder didn't have much perceivable flavor at all. The sausage had a smooth, soft texture and was nicely aromatic with herbs. I can't say that I understand the popularity of this Berliner snack, but it's a unique dish worth trying indeed!
