My son is 7 years old…read moreand had really only played T-ball before coming here, but the growth we've seen in such a short time has been amazing--not just in his skills, but in his confidence and love for baseball. He absolutely loves the summer camp and the one-on-one lessons. He gets excited every single time we're on the way, especially knowing he'll get to see Coach Pete. That excitement alone speaks volumes. Thanks to the coaches, he now has a better stance, a stronger and more confident swing, and--most importantly--a real motivation to play and improve. Coach Devin and Coach Billy have been phenomenal with him: patient, encouraging, and great at meeting him at his level while still pushing him to grow. This academy has truly helped spark a passion for the game in my son, and as a parent, that means everything. We are so thankful for the time, care, and dedication these coaches put into their kids. He felt very out of place as everyone else was already a well established player. He didn't feel like the adults monitored things and felt pushed around by the more seasoned players. He did mention the owner was away the week he went. We paid for the after care - but he sat on bleachers not talking to anyone day after day. He asked me to share so other families can make sure their child has a good experience here and goes in with eyes open.

It's out first time here and didn't know what to expect. Thankfully, our experience went pretty smooth. Skip had to adjust the ball machine a few times. They had several bats and plenty of balls to get us started. My husband and I spent almost an hour there. We forgot to bring our batting gloves! Everyone is friendly, and openly give tips upon request. They have lots of room and equipment to let you practice whatever, and however you want. They have a "baseball video game" that my son loves. You can play home run derby with friends, as the "computer" measures your swing and projects it on the monitor as a video game. While my son is "in a video game," I get to analyze his swing and compare to the pros. Overall, it's a perfect place for improving your baseball. I haven't been to the batting cage since I was a kid so I decided to be adventurous and go try it…read moreout again. This location was closer to us so we went in and there is a Yelp coupon for 20% off one batting cage round but I decided to save that for another time since we were going to rent a cage for an hour. This store is on the other side of Dollar Tree. The employees there were really nice and helpful. The rental included helmets and bats so that was nice. You have to miss a couple of shots before you get the hang of things but once you get to swinging, it will be hard to stop. The hour went by fast and it was split between three people. There is no max for the cage rentals so if you wanted to share it with 10 people, you could. There is also a gym and private training lessons there for anyone interested. I highly recommend and I plan to go back!
