I've been to many types of barre classes (as well as other "boutique" workout classes) and you will not find one that compares to PURE BARRE! It's by far, the best! If you live close enough to be able to take classes as Pure Barre Westchase, you are LUCKY! The owner, Aimee, and her staff are the NICEST group of girls! They are happy to help correct your form, answer any questions, and offer encouragement to everyone! You will immediately feel at ease when you walk in the door because you will surely be greeted by one of their smiling faces. If it's your first time taking a barre class, expect to take 2-3 before you figure it out somewhat (just go with the flow). Because PURE BARRE incorporates a lot of tiny isometric movements, it will take a long time to master it. That's great news because it's always challenging your mind and body! Also, worth noting is Pure Barre Westchase always changes up their classes. So, one class you might use a tiny ball as a prop and the next you use a Velcro tube or one class you work your "seat" on the floor and the next, it's all standing at the barre. This place was very quick to take my money when I bought a package of what I thought was "4 classes", thank goodness I paid cash... come to find out the next week when they started making a point at the beginning and end of each class to ask for my debit card and that this is apparently a reoccurring membership. Thankfully I still didn't give my debit card information out only to be badgered for it EVERY time I came in, making me it uncomfortable to be there. The last class I had attended I let the girl instructor know I cannot afford a monthly package and the only reason I had bought the "4 class" package was because it was discounted and NO ONE told me I had signed up for a membership until well after I had paid. I get times are hard right now with COVID but really Pure Barre? Tricking people into buying memberships.... That's not cool.. and it doesn't stop there, I have been harassed at this point with texts, calls, emails and even unknown callers. BEWARE of this place, it is a scam. Also PSA the cost does not reflect well on the classes. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what's being offered. read more

I have been going to Pure Barre Westchase for a month now and I absolutely love it. The owner, Aimee, and her staff are so supportive and encouraging. The staff goes out of their way to make you feel great about yourself. What I love about pure barre westchase is that women of all ages, shapes, and sizes are in class. The classes are challenging even though it's low impact. The class follows the same general format but the exercises change with each class. Every class is different. You will definitely feel your body changing from day one. I try to make class 4-5 days a week. After a month I can see some serious results. I was initially very intimidated to come to Pure Barre. I am a new mom and lets just say my body looks nothing like the women walking out of the studio. I bought a very reasonably priced new client package and took the plunge and boy am I glad I did. It was refreshing to see all body types and ages in these classes. The instructors are all very encouraging and genuinely want you to perfect your form during class so you can get your best results. In the two short months I have been attending classes I can already feel/see my progress. The 55 minute class truly gives me the opportunity to tune out my chaotic life and focus on me. This studio is very friendly and the instructors are all well trained in form and technique and they keep it moving. When I was beginning I asked them all if they would please audit my posture during the class to make sure that I was not harming my "surgically enhanced" back! Every single instructor was willing and happy to do so and they did- helping me to make adjustments as needed. This is tough--especially if you have not been working out recently. Try it and you might really like it. If you stick with it, it gets easier as you get stronger and the body changes come pretty quickly. Low/no impact is great on the joints. Light hand weights for part of the class help with upper arm and back flab issues for those of us who are older! All around great place to work out! read more

I took advantage of the two week "Learn to Barre"special and I can honestly say I am hooked! Before Pure Barre, I was in a gym rut. Pure Barre was just what I needed to get me motivated about working out again. From the moment you walk in, its a warm and friendly environment. Each class follows the same general format so you know what to expect but a slightly different and challenging routine each time. Pure Barre Westchase is the best place to LTB (lift, tone, burn)!!! The most challenging 60 minute work-out you will ever take! Not going to lie, after the first class, my whole body was sore. I worked muscles I never even knew I had! Personally, I have struggled getting motivated for the daily gym grind but Pure Barre is totally different from anything I have tried. Using small isometric movements at the ballet barre set to motivating music, Pure Barre lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs and arms and burns fat in record-breaking time. I can't speak more highly about Pure Barre Westchase! The workout is amazing, completely different than anything I've ever done before. This class is challenging BUT Roxana is great. In general I felt very welcomed coming into a new place, all the staff and other clients are friendly so I felt very comfortable. Roxana took time to talk to me before class so I'd know what to expect and let me know it is ok to feel lost at first- it gets better. After class she went over techniques too and I noticed she gives modifications so everyone no matter what level can get their max "burn". I'm looking forward to to going back! read more

I have tried many other workouts such as hot yoga, Pilates and P90X and I find Pure Barre to be the most effective in the least amount of time. It targets all the areas I want to tone - hips, thighs, butt, abs and arms. I attended a different Pure Barre location and found it to be stuffy.
