This gym is small, with old equipment that is in various states of disrepair. For example, there was an Olympic barbell that was there for usage, but one end of it was completely gone. I have never seen a barbell come apart like that, and it is completely unusable in its current form, so why have it in the weight room at all? The entire gym also needs a good top to bottom cleaning. The locker rooms are cramped and smelled musty. Speaking of musty smell, there were several areas throughout the gym where you would get a good whiff of mildew. Gross.

So my boyfriend and I went in search of a gym. Fit For You was listed in a lot of places, and we'd passed it so often we just sort of went with our gut. Now, my problem with gyms is this: when you're slightly overweight and taking the steps you need to get into shape, that LAST thing you want to see is a bunch of skinny, ripped, sun bleached blond, tan muscles flaunting their "oh so sexy" selves in front of you. I mean, come on, be honest, you'd walk in the door and turn right back around and head out, right? It's intimidating, and you lose your drive really fast. Unfortunately Fit For You has this problem. The employees look like their a pack of body building animals, while I feel like the prey their hungering for. Don't get me wrong, though. They have a great business, with some really nice equipment, do-able hours, and a friendly staff. They just have that modern, overbearing weight hanging over their door. I guess you learn to live with it, and hopefully, because of them, I will be the person that those newbies envy, but for now, I'll stay the mouse in the corner just trying to avoid the glance of the hunter cat.

They are the worst with kids. I have had my family membership for 4 years, and I have never really…read moreused it because of this happening before. I only got it for the kids' classes (which many are not included in). Recently, I went there, and a member of the staff named Heather started creating and enforcing rules (not posted anywhere) to a 5yo and an 8 yo kids. Asked for somebody to call me back, because that's what they told me they were going to do, but they never did. I am not mad or disappointed with them, but it keeps happening. At this point, I have to cancel the membership because this is not the first time something like this has happened, and because it hasn't been handled well at all.
