As an adult, I've become more aware of and increasingly concerned with the side effects of hydrocortisone, especially on the liver. Both product labels and Western doctors alike warn against the prolonged use of the drug, however, it was the only option I was ever given to treat this chronic condition. I had a severe eczema flare-up two years ago and sought Dr. Chiang's advice through a family member's recommendation. As a recurring issue, I had many questions for Dr. Chiang, which he patiently listened to. He explained the TCM rationale behind the possible root causes and offered very reasonable recommendations on lifestyle and diet changes to help prevent flare-ups. He first sells you a tub of herbs as "trial" to see if you can handle it without severe side effects before "the big order". Well, after several days, my skin was awful and I didn't feel good with it. I told him exactly that, and he replies nothing about my issues, but saying that he will proceed with several weeks worth of supply of the herbs. Then, I kindly asked if he could change the herbs or if I could try something different since it wasn't working for me, and he was just replied with rage saying that it was too late, and that I MUST PAY for these herbs since I've signed an agreement etc etc, Unbelievable...
