This is a very, very, very cool store. I can understand why I've heard so many awesome things about…read moreit. It's actually rather large inside and not exactly what I was expecting. There's so many different sections and they're all arranged very neatly. Creativity just oozes out of this building pores. I didn't buy anything at this time because I was slightly overwhelmed. But now I know where to go when the creative bug bites! There are sections for fabric, for art supplies, for any craft imaginable. I would definitely check this place out if you are sick of Michaels.

I contacted Joseph Rose plumbing in Durham, North Carolina about three plumbing problems I was…read morehaving. They scheduled to come by my house at 1 PM on Monday. By about 1:45 they had not arrived. I called the company, but no one answered. I left a phone message. I was called back in a couple of hours and, and the secretary/scheduler informed me that the job they were on was taking longer than expected. She then asked me if they could reschedule for tomorrow. I stated that that was not convenient for me. I finally relented and agreed to meet them on Tuesday. If I recall, the one technician was about 30-45 minutes late. She informed me that she had not been told about fixing the lack of shower hot water or about cleaning the mold out of our faucets but had only been told about cleaning the water heater! She arrived and started to flush the water heater. She then informed me that her new water pump that she needed for that job was defective and kept tripping the circuit breaker. She asked me if she could come back the next day at 8:30 AM! This was early for me in terms of usually sleeping longer, but I agreed in order to get the ordeal finished. She came with a young helper, and they completed the work. Rose appeared to be competent and, furthermore, she communicated well with me which was an appreciated change from her handler/scheduler. She and I talked about the benefit of the whole house water filter. She stated that she would get some information and send a proposal. That never happened. As you can gather, there are two significant problems with Joseph Rose plumbing, according to my experience with them. One is the absence of adequate and efficient communication, and the other is a lack of follow-up on what they say they will do.

I called one shoe repair place but they didn't inspire confidence in their ability to complete the work today or do the job, at all. Next, I called Love-Way and the gentleman who answered the phone responded with enthusiasm and absolute confidence that he could both complete the refresh and get it done as soon as I could bring the shoes to him. I immediately headed over and was greeted by the same enthusiast charm that I experienced on the phone. The shop is small and very cluttered with shoes, materials, machines everywhere! This is truly a workshop! None of that fancy retail decoration. This is where work gets done! He took my shoes and asked when I wanted to pick them up. Since the wedding was in a few hours, I said I could wait, if he could do them now. He replied "I'll get on 'em, like ugly on an ape!" And his partner started working on them immediately. As I waited, other customers kept coming, bringing him more and more shoes to repair, from single pairs to laundry baskets full! Obviously, they are very popular and do good work.
