I've used That Cheap Painter twice now, and there is no doubt I will be back again time as soon as something needs painting. Count me as a completely satisfied customer. Our first project, about 18 months ago, was an exterior project, painting an Arbor and our front steps. More recently (wrapped up last week), we mainly did interior work ... repainting a couple of rooms and the risers on an interior staircase with a few touch-ups on ceilings, walls and trim as well as repainting one weather-beaten exterior wall. Frankly, in both cases, the experience was pretty much flawless. The work was courteous, clean and efficient. One of my pet peeves is having to ride herd when I'm having work done. That seems to be the norm, but it has never seemed to be the case with Erick. He showed up on time every morning; he did what he said he would do (or more); and he left the place spotless in the evening. As you might imagine as well given the rating, the work-product is excellent. And, oh yeah ... on top of it all, both times he came in on or under budget! My wife and I love how things look and love the ease of the experience. Orginally I had That Cheap Painter quote painting the entire inside of my home. Out of several companies they won the project and my trust, not only on price but also on attitude, quality of materials and the timeline projected. The result was and still is outstanding... My house I bought also needed the outside painted, so when the weather was better I didnt hesitate to call them again. Same deal, great price, great materials with an outstanding result along with a professional postive attitude. I'm usually a "do it yourself" type of guy, usally because finding good people that can do a great job is very rare at any price level. I'm very picky and thorough, more so than most. Eric had no prolems producing a natural level of high quality results... I even had them come back and seal my driveway, same deal, excellent! I wish I had more things that needed painting, if for nothing else to keep good people priding themselves on doing a great job working in this economy... I hired That Cheap Painter to paint the interior of my home and they did an AWESOME job! I like to write balanced reviews but I can't think of anything negative to say. I consider myself a bit of a DIY painter pro and I am very particular, alright picky, when it comes to others working on my home. To start with Erick provided and extremely detailed and easy to understand proposal. He wasn't the cheapest bid that I received but he wasn't the most expensive, but I felt very comfortable that he understood what I was looking for in terms of quality and I wasn't disappointed. They showed up on time every day, worked extremely hard, acted professional and were easy to communicate with. The quality of work was exactly as I expected and had hoped for. The only hiccup on the project came when his helper bumped into a drape and got a little paint on it. I probably would have never noticed, but they pointed it out to me and insisted that they replace even though I didn't really care. After many years of procrastination, we finally decided to have the interior of our home painted. Solicited multiple bids for the job, and while That Cheap Painter was higher than we had hoped (though not the highest by a long shot), we ultimately went with them because their bid was very thorough and they seemed professional. Were happy with the choice. Erick and Sam were really easy to work with and clearly wanted to do a good job. The project finished on time with only minor subsequent touch-ups. Please note that they do not advise on color selection themselves, but did refer us to a designer for a consultation, which was $200 well spent. Saved us from a potentially bad bathroom color choice.
