Have nothing but positive experiences with Chase Bank. I opened a small business checking account…read morewith Chase in Seattle when I got my first client. The bank manager helped with all things. I didn't have enough to deposit into the business account to open it and he made an exception. Once I received my client's check, I came back to the branch to have the account established and it was already done! The fees are average to high for small business accounts. Chase is not in the DC area the closest Chase to DC is Trenton NJ or West Virginia. I make the trips once every 6 - 8 weeks to deposit or use online/snail mail to deposit. Since I travel a great deal I have made ATM stops in Logan, LAX and other airports. Each problem or issue I had the phone reps are great and worked hard to solve my problem. I've always received a call back! Whether it is to help me with mobile services, online bill pay or using tax calculators or suggesting a better savings structure - I have had good experiences. My complaint is Chase is a big enough institution to open a branch in the DC metropolitan area. Since they do not have a branch here you can't get a business loan here to open a store front or expand your business. This is a MAJOR down fall and I hope Chase will contact the members in this area to strategize. With this complaint I will have to look at opening another business account with BOA or Wells Fargo or someone else to expand my business. It's too bad a great bank relationship can't take me to the next level. This is a 7 year relationship with multiple Chase banks and I hate to leave them over something I think is solvable. Also, my part-time employee was charged $12 fee to cash her payroll check because she is not a member of Chase. I think this is excessive and replaced her the check cashing fee. So now when I hire part-time or temporary help for a tradeshow I up their payment by $12 so they can cash the check at Chase and not lose any money. Chase you need to reduce this fee.

Bad experience over stupid things. Would have understood if it was reasonable. They did give us our fee charges back but we were at the bank for over an hour. Our transaction sheet shows our balance never being in negative only at exactly 0. Other fee must have come from a gas check fee, but makes no sense because the total gas amount came out evenly and did not set the amount negative. The new T.D. is much worst and fee laden in comparison to our old friend Commerce. Can't wait until July, 2010 in which banks can no longer charge any type of debit/credit card fee!

While my primary financial institution is open for a few hours Saturday morning, they open/close earlier and are usually very busy when I have stopped by. Not so for this TDB. We walked right in to conduct an international wire transfer. Everyone was masked, and the three staff were capable of handling the average of 3 customers doing their business. When we approached the the two tellers and announced what we wanted to do, one of them raised her hand, directing us to a private cubicle where she could take care of us. She knew what to do, filling out online forms with help from the information we provided. Ten minutes later we were signed, sealed and on our way out the door. She asked all the right questions, and easily accepted our explanation for the finer points of the transaction. All the while the professional yet relaxed demeanor of the bank and it's well trained staff kept us comfortable and moving forward. Need a good bank person?
