I've had the worst experience getting my title for my car with a TD loan since January and still don't have it resolved. Zero empathy, repeated incompetence and down right rude escalation leadership. Not to mention the prompting for calling is cumbersome--first 5 letters of last name prompt is unrecognizable as the English alphabet. I'm on my 9th trip to the DMV and you make them look good and we all know their reputation. Call me if you truly care. Worst customer service ever...the dmv is better. There were 2 tellers and 3 customer reps and only 2 customers in the bank including myself. I asked a teller about security deposit box availability and if I could see the sizes she politely asked me to wait. I sat down to see there are 3 customer service reps 1 on the phone ok and the other 2 just chatting maybe even training, but not even acknowledging there is another customer there waiting. Or the fact that I was sitting there for over 10 minutes waiting I got frustrated and left needless to say I'll be closing my account there. I've been a TD customer for years, but these days who really goes to a bank anymore? While I don't frequent often (or at all), I find the customer service I get from the Bank Manager, Jonathan is always great. He's friendly, helpful, and really goes above and beyond. When he needs to gather more information or do any research, he's been transparent about timeframes he can respond in and holds true to those timeframes (i.e. with foreign currency availability, especially on short notice). He even performed notary services on the bank's stoop for me recently. Thanks for the excellent service! read more

I used to like the uptown branch better, but we just drove by today and I guess it's closed! This branch is ok-it's got 2 ATMs in the lobby area that stay open after the branch hours (inside where you'd speak to a teller or specialist would be). The tellers are usually pretty quick/user friendly-I e almost never seen a line. However, if you're waiting for a specialist, the wait can be quite lengthy, and you should pray you don't get Earl (although he's one of 2 specialists I've ever seen there, and often the only one there is him). He's curt, and not user friendly to say the least... so best to try and wait for someone else, or honestly go to another bank. read more

I've been to this location of TD Bank a few times, and every time I've walked it, the customer service has always been incredibly friendly and the staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome the second you walk through the door. I needed to get a Signed Guarantee / Medallion Signature Guarantee stamp on a document, and called several different banks and was told separate things for each one. I love that when I call this location, the actual branch staff picks up right away, and I'm not routed through a bunch of automated robots that direct me to a call center far away. When I called a different bank where I've been a member since 2005, I was told that the fee to get the Medallion Signature would be $250! When I called this branch, they told me that, yes, they offer the Medallion Signature, and multiple staff are certified to do it. Even better, TD Bank offers this service completely free! The Assistant Manager Jonathan who helped me was just really great, and so helpful with everything. I'm very impressed and will definitely come back to this branch more often! read more

This is now a TD Bank, but still, the people there are friendly, open to conversation, and try to help as best as they can. While they're still integrating the two systems together, some tellers and staff can only do one system or the other. Lockboxes, notary service (ask to see who's staffing that side of it), and more services available, all in a big, airy building that reminds me much of a larger bank. Plus treats for doggies and humans alike. Open 7 days a week, this is ultra-convenient on the way to the city or back from it, and customer service is always a plus here. Probably the best local bank I've been to, though not the best overall TD I've ever been at. read more

Been a customer of the Newark Street TD Bank for many years. Friendly staff overall and attentive to your banking needs. My "go to" person here is Earl, the Senior Customer Service Rep. He's always courteous and helpful and provides recommendations when needed. Every single time I've had to go into the bank for an issue Earl's been the one to solve the problem for me. Avoid TD BANK at all cost. This place is a total rip-off. When I opened an account I was misinformed and they wouldn't take care of the problem caused later. Remember, they wouldn't inform you fully even when your money is leaking from your account. When I asked them 'your bank does not send out emails even when there's a fee occurrence?', what I got as an answer was 'We don't babysit your account'. Well~ Ok, great :) Oh, one more thing! I stopped in here because I needed to get something notarized. The bank is huge, clean, and in a beautiful building. The woman who notarized my form for me was very nice and quick. Finally, a bank where it's pleasant and sometimes even fun to bank. After aggravating experiences with Chase, PNC Bank, and various other big banks, Commerce Bank was a breath of fresh air! Get this - we got a George Foreman grill when we opened an account. My dog gets biscuits every time we go in, and best of all, they seem to always be open. They have great evening and weekend hours with very pleasant employees. And now, there are loads of branches all over the NYC area. So convenient! read more

There's not a heck of a lot to say about this bank as I'm not an account holder. That being said, it has late hours and is my go to spot for laundry quarters. Everyone here is super friendly and the bank itself is in a beautiful building. The location is a block from the PATH station, so the location is super convenient. Overall, if TD Bank was located in more spots, I might switch based on my experience with the folks in this branch. read more

Visited this location even though I live in Jersey city because I needed to see someone at the desk after hours, and because the Jersey City location offers a drive through, they dont have walk-in hours in the evening. I saw Marlene to get copies of my banking statements on an account I had with them for almost 7 years, that is now closed. She printed what she could and told me the rest would be need to be researched and would take 3-5 business days to arrive. Long story VERY short, two weeks later I still didnt have all the statements I needed and after several messages, I still was not getting any return phone calls ( even after leaving a message for the branch manager, Bryan Douglass, and being assured I would receive a call the next morning). The day after that phone call from Bryan, the branch manager, never came, I left several messages for Marlene and didnt get a call from her either. I was fed up and wasnt going to take no for an answer anymore-I wanted someone else to help me. Why should I HAVE to speak with her?! This time, luckily, I got a competent employee, Rafael, who actually used to work there when it was Commerce Bank, before it changed to TD Bank and they began pick-pocketing their customers. Rafael went ABOVE AND BEYOND and had almost all of the missing statements I had been trying to get for almost two weeks to me within a half hour after our conversation,-close to 8 o'clock in the evening! He is the epitome of customer service and employees like him are why I was a member of Commerce Bank. So sad they got picked up by TD Bank-thieves who need to just disappear. read more

I am very disturbed about my occasion at the bank today and have informed my local county's weights and measures department as well as inquired with the local police. I am not a customer of the bank and had coins and used the coin counter to cash in my coins. I understood I would be charged 6% and accepted that. I had a huge jars of coins and some of them are foreign. The machines have a retrieve slot below to kick out any non US coins. I knew I had about $40 in foreign money but because of prior dealings with the bank and machines I knew they would be returned. They were not. Nowhere on the machine does it say my coins may or may not be returned. In fact the only notification you get is on the 3rd screen after you hit start where it says "remove all valuables". Valuables are your keys and wedding ring, not foreign coins. I asked the bank Mgr to get my coins back and he said he could not. He said the magnet caught them and he had 0 way of getting them back. When pressed about the issue the bank mgr just started to stutter and gave me a half as* response that meant absolutely nothing. When I asked him where do the coins go? He says "they send them out". I said "you mean you cash them"? He shrugged and I walked off. The bank is a thief and I will go to the end of the earth to make a point. Hudson County weights and measures has informed me that if my foreigns were not returned then a violation of local law has been broken. I am following up with them and filing a formal complaint. I also intend to take bank to small claims for $45. Seriously I don;t need money., I got enough. I need to make a point to protect other consumers and my fellow residents. TD bank will only scam you with these machines. You've been warned read more

Just a heads up TD bank has been over charging their customers on Fees. They are out of control and making them selves rich off of very hard working people. The ones most affected by this are the people that are just getting by. TD bank is raping them with fees of over $100 and $200 in one shot. Plus they double daily. Beautiful building - what can I say, TD Bank is literally Americas Most Convenient Bank!

This branch is the worst branch ever! It's completely dead in there, yet you still wait about an hour to speak to someone even though there are 3 people that are by the desks. 2 blondes and an African American gentleman they literally do absolutely nothing.. I even made a joke while I was waiting to fix yet another mistake by this branch, to the blonde girl what are you shopping? She quickly minimized her screen! Caught! Even closing the account was a project in a half! Their manager Sagar is as good as useless... I wanted to get copies of my statements ,so I went in and I should have thought twice when the blonde said she would help me! They never follow thru on anything!!! I had to make another trip and complain to the manager sagar who was basically complaining to the wall.. after closing the account I ended up going to chase and never been happier!! This branch is the closest to my home-to-work public transport transfer point (Hoboken Terminal). I needed to solve number of issues I had with my account. Waited 2 minutes before being very nicely served by manager Brian Douglas (IIRC, sorry if misspelled). I've received everything I wanted, fixed issues w/ my accounts (not just fixed but also got everything explained in a nice manner, each operation). I'll get back in case I have problem w/ anything I won't be able to fix using online access to my account.
