On 10/7 I received an email from my landlord that they received a check from the same TD Bank account whose check bounced last month thus incurring a fee for me. The TD branch manager's 7/24 letter states that the account is being closed and that checks received after 8/8 will be returned. I was advised to discontinue writing additional checks but I stopped writing checks long ago. The only checks sent from my account was an automatic bill pay that the bank itself sends. Despite their own letter stating not to send checks after 8/8, TD continues to send rent checks from my closed account apparently in retaliation for my negative online reviews. They sent a check in September which bounced and incurred a fee. I complained to both state and federal regulators about this Canadian bank which prompted a response from TD stating they would refund me the fee and had stopped sending rent checks as of September. However, they then sent a rent check to my landlord in October. Also, I have yet to receive their promised refund from sending the bounced September check. I'm tired of their lies. They need to stop sending checks from an account that has been closed for months and accept that my negative online reviews are not coming down despite their continued harassment. read more

I got a confidential name change order, which states that due to situations in my life, old name is erased when possible and changed to my current name. They were the only company to push back. My bank paired with them for credit card, and so I had to go through them. They refused to take any legal documentation that my bank, social security, etc approved. They refuse to call me by my legal name, only using my dead name. If I use my legal name, they refuse to give me information. Multiple times I was berated over the phone by a customer service manager for being unable to pay a minimum amount they raised to 300 due to their own customer service employee messing up my phone-in payment. customer service also claimed they changed my name in system, and told me it was okay to cut up my old card. It was not changed. They sent me a restricted card on the account of dead name, who is the only one who can call in and ask for information. I live 13 hours away, and they refuse to help unless I drive there, myself. I have more than enough proof of who I am. As soon as I pay this off, I will close my account and never work with them, again. read more

After DECADES!! DECADES!!! of ATM's being designed with a standardized "card insert" and cash withdraw procedure... for some reason, this TD bank has decided to go with a new design. Now, I've used computers every day for the last 40 yrs or so... but this was a perplexing riddle wrapped in an enigma, and encased in irony. The card slides in "horizontally" !!! by the time I figured that out, with NO help from the security guard... I was almost afraid of the machine. Then...the cash is delivered in a "pit" that I was seriously worried might snap my hand off by reaching in the depths of it. My point is this.... WHY? WHY??? Very poor service. I will never use them for financing again! I used them to finance my Nordick treadmill. They are so aggressive and rude! I have been making 3 payments a month just so I can get the whole amount paid in less than 5 months versus 38 months financing period. I called to inquire on a 25$ fee for a returned payment( which is my 3 rd extra payment this month) and they refused to work with me. They said we will remove it if I pay the reminder of the balance in full, now. My financing period doesn't expire till January 2027! Use another reputable bank to finance your equipment from Nordick, otherwise you will end up like me; very frustrated. read more

Turns out TD bank decided to put a hold on my card after a biz charge of 1K without letting me know, it was embarrassing. Las time when in Costa Rico on vacation on the last day of stay they put a hold on my card a d most merchants don't use Amex card there again screwed me, a 20 year customer. Also denied me initially a biz debit card even though got two PPP loans prior and had plenty of earnings and money. Poor poor management!!! read more

The ATM's here are also cutting edge in that they allow you to choose the specific bills you want when taking money out. I have dreamed of something like this for YEARS! My wallet was stolen/lost back in October 2020. I lost several credit cards. Chase Saphire, Marriott Visa, Local bank debit/credit card,FirstBank credit card and TD Bank card ( that I had for my organization I belong to). I file a police report in regards to the lost back in October. There were numerous fraudulent purchases on all cards totaling about $15,000. EVERY card made good on the fraudulent purchases EXCEPT TD Bank. I spoke to a representative back in October and they advised they would look into it. There was a fraudulent $2200+ purchase made at JC Penney. I spoke to a rep once and told them I did not make purchase. About a month and a half later received a letter stating they determined it was not fraudulent purchase (HUH). I appealed and asked to look into again. Now too months later , I just was notified that they determined it was fraudulent. I NEVER spoke to anyone since our first conversation. How do they determine this ? Check video ? Essential Workers Beware: Unfortunately, I am a customer of TD Bank. I work at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I contacted TD Bank due to an overdraft fee of 105! and Also explained to them as promised per previous representative that I would be reimbursed the 105 due to an error. when I called into the back because the overdraft Fee in fact had hit my account. I bought A Samsung phone who clearly went through TD bank. I called and asked her what the total payoff was $300+ and then paid the loan off in November 2022. Apparently the idiot on the other end can't read because there was still $1.40 yes one dollar and 40 cents. TD bank calls today and wants me to pay $22 more dollars because their worker didn't take out the right amount.... To me sided with the seller essentially calling me a liar. They should not tell customers they are protected against fraudulent transactions on there debit or credit cards. Also on line TDbank tough linked both of my biz and personal accounts requires me to log in to each one to see full info. From what I experience is they illegally charge overdraft fees, I check my account everyday putting deposits in and using card, it seems they count the debits before the credits even though I make deposits before I spend, they do this so they can charge big fees to customers, Unless u carry a 5 to 6 figure balance they really don't care about you, I have an account with a competitor bank they never charge the way TD does, I'm going to close my TD account and just open a secondary account at the other financial institution I bank with To all stay awAy from TD bank read more

COMPLETE DISASTER. Do not use TD for a home-loan. My mother has a 820 credit score, is buying a home for $688,000 and putting down over $480,000 in CASH. No brainer you'd think. Nope. The underwriting department is a complete disaster and a nightmare to work with. They lose documents, ask for things multiple times, say they won't need paperwork and then ask for it. They was until the very last moment (literally 24-48 hours before the scheduled closing) to review material and then magically discover documents they forgot to ask for. They tell you something different every time you call and there's no order or consistency to anything. No wonder the are offer to 3% for 30 year loans. They don't look out for the customer for one, misfile disputes, then when you complain to the head office, they still debit the transaction. The reps I spoke with are self-proclaimed experts on any topic (unqualified and ridiculous advice) and act like they are doing you a favor. This bank is way cool! I love Penny Arcade, the free service machine that generously swallows loose change and spits out a receipt showing the total value. It even separately spits out non-US coins and other "unrecognizable objects". The last time I was here, I managed to cash out over $200 for my change! When Commerce started opening branches, I scoffed at the idea of a bank that touts convenience, for example being open on weekends. Over time though, I like it that they have a community banking feel. Commerce doesn't pay the best rates on deposits (go to ING Direct instead). But they offer friendly service, including over the weekend :) read more

Earlier this week we attempted to telephone the Wethersfield Connecticut branch, nobody picked up the phone. I called the customer service number and she was able to get Dawn from the Wethersfield branch to answer the phone. Today, we tried calling the branch again, nobody picked up the phone so my husband went down in person. There was a sign on the door that said we could not go into the bank. So I tried calling the general customer service number twice, both times the message indicated that hold times exceeded 20 minutes. Earlier this week I was told that the Hartford branch had been closed and the Wethersfield branch was absorbing these customers. Absolutely awful. This bank was great when it was Commerce and started out ok as TD but now it is just awful. My local branch claims lobby is open.. Apparently open means front door locked. No teller.. But you can wait on a long line and use drive through. (So drive thru open means the lobby is open) real convenient. On another issue I tried to call customer support for a credit card question.. Twice redirected me through a maze of nonsense only to be disconnected. I sent them an email about it and they told me they couldn't help me and I needed to call the number that sent me through the way of nonsense.. Stirling Road Davie, Florida branch. Had do to do a small wire transfer (under $5000.00). Tried to call no one answers. Left a message, no one called back. Went to the bank signed in to see an officer and I was sent from the officers area to the tellers back to the officers area. Total to so far was 45 minutes. When I got to talk to an officer I was told I had to sign in to virtual banking. I said why? She said it was a new company policy and to go over to the virtual banking sign in machine by the door. While at the door I just kept going. Called Wells Fargo got a human on the phone set up an appointment and bing, bang, boom transfer was done. I recently lost my debit card and I tried to contact TD Bank at their 8887519000. Unfortunately no representative will talk to me the automated messaging system does not allow you to talk to a representative. I had to call a credit card that I have with TD Bank and have them transfer me to a representative from TD Bank branch.
