But generally, when I have a question they're professional and when I need cash, their network of ATM's is second to none and their online banking product has been nearly flawless for years. While I'm never going to buy into their Smartphone banking product ERICA for some very obvious security concerns and my reluctance to download my life into my easily lost or damaged phone... it is what it is. For now, the bank bores me with essential competence and that's probably a good thing. Four solid stars.

What do they know that the rest of Wall Street doesn't? I'm not really sure but their new outposts seem to be situated in affluent burbs where Citi and Wells Fargo are aggressively thinning the herd. What I do know is that JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon isn't stupid and has accumulated more wealth than many small countries by being an astute contrarian. Maybe cash isn't quite dead yet and having tellers and physical branches in new places as regional banks retrench does wonders for lobbying efforts in their heavily regulated industry. Or more directly they anticipate being one of the few men left standing as some of the weaker community and regional banks fall by the wayside. Five stars for zigging while the other money houses zag.

I finally got someone to understand the problems I'm having with signing in on-line. Back on hold again....Security questions that I have never answered come up each and every time no matter how many times I delete cookies. Now they're telling me my account must be reset. The only way you know that they're holding it for more than their usual two business days is if you call. This time it messed up my mortgage payment. The check they've held include a paycheck and another check that I've received every week, drawn on the same account by the same person, for the past year and a half with no issues.
