Ever since Needham Bank began it's transition to a large bank the service has become terrible. The bank's new online banking platform is terrible and extremely difficult to navigate. And you know have to log onto a separate Bill Payment for bill payment. It doesn't make any sense to have to login to online banking and then use a separate ID and PW to login to Bill Payment. The new online banking website was a disaster and the new bill payment is even worse. How can a bank just get everything wrong when upgrading their services.

Citizens Bank is the most dysfunctional organization I have ever dealt with. My family has been…read morebanking with them for over 30 years. This week we had all our property tax checks returned to us because Citizens decided to send them as Electronic payments instead of paper checks. They have been processing without a problem up until this week with checks. When they made the change to Electronic payment this month they truncated all the account numbers and the town could not process them. Repeated calls to the bank have resulted with them requiring me to reissue all the payments and they have not returned the money back to me. It is a good thing we have enough in the accounts to be able to pay them twice! Someday we hope Citizens will actually give us back our money. My advice to you is go to a real bank and stay away from Citizens! Their online banking system is childish and lacks a lot of functionality like the ability to print payment confirmations in a useable format unless you cut and paste them into a word processor like Word and edit out all the childish graphics. This may be a good bank for teens or children, but they are NOT professional in anyway. If you value your money and financial health stay away from them. Earlier this year I had them issue some bank checks. Even though they were going to other members of the family and they have had this account for 30 years they misspelled the name on every check and made them out for the wrong amounts! It actually took them 4 hours to complete and issue 4 bank checks. Fortunately I looked at them before I left the bank and noticed the spelling and amount issues. It then took them another hour to correct them. If you use Citizens be sure to balance your accounts. They are totally incompetent! As soon as the taxes are done we will be leaving Citizens and going to Chase or Bank of America. At least their systems work!

I have two accounts, so it wasn't a big deal I just transferred money around via the app. I was going on vacation; I stopped in at the Newton branch and Ryan Wong greeted me, he was very polite, cheerful and eager to help. Not only did he put the vacation dates on my card he figured out what was wrong with my primary checking account and printed me a new card I tried it at the ATM and WA LA success :) Not only did Ryan help with my vacation request and fix my card he followed up via email with instructions on how I can sent vacation request through the app. Ryan went above and beyond; I want to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves. I not only give Metro five stars I give Ryan five stars.
