This place is great. I got my son started this month. They just opened. These guys work hard to help my kid. They deserve a good review

I had a good learning experience at Emerald Nursing School. I recently took a class to get…read morecertified as a nursing assistant. The class was reasonably priced. It finished in about three weeks. If you're able to learn fast, you'll breeze right through it. If you can't, I would recommend a longer program. They have an eight-week weekend option at Emerald. The tuition also includes the textbook and scrubs to wear for clinicals. You don't get to keep the text book. The state exams are separate costs. The class includes a lecture and skills lab, along with clinicals five days a week. If we weren't going through a pandemic, you would go to clinicals at a long term care facility aka a nursing home or assisted living facility. Once you finish the class, you take a state exam. The state exams are delayed right now. They'll hopefully resume in July, maybe August. You're still able to find jobs in healthcare by finishing the class I took. The classes are pretty small, which is good for me. There was a total of nine students in my class. You have to wear a mask at all times and social distance always. The staff is also kind and informative. Overall a good experience here. It's affordable and finishes quickly. Oh and another thing, you also get CPR certified after taking the nursing assistant class. That's typically a separate cost.

I graduated in 2015, and I will tell any student any black American student not to attend the…read moreschool. Why? The lady over the medical assistant program Petra is a straight up racist, bigot and she naturally stereotypes. In 2018 I finally found a job with no help from the school and I needed to take a night course to get recertified in a class Petra as usual need you to be a little yourself in order for her to feel back when you do not do that she does not have time for you. So she sends out the black American female who I guess she felt can handle me... I simply took my money to a different school and re-certified. The disrespect I received was so huge I will say to anybody do not go to the school. And one more thing when I went into see Petra she kept looking at the records to see if I had paid for my classes making sure all my loans were up-to-date and they were that's why I say she stereotypes black American females.

I have been attending the north east campus for the last 15 months. For the most part it is a good…read morecampus, it looks a lot nicer than most campus's in the area. Most instructors are knowledgeable and are willing to go out of their way to help. The equipment is a bit dated, we recently got new low end servers to work with after having to share a clunker for a few weeks. I am currently in the ISS program which focuses on A+, Windows server, Cisco, linux, ect. I wish they offered more computer classes ranging from programming, graphic design, ect. However I have learned a great deal so far, they have a great A+ class and the instructor is very knowledgeable. One thing I will mention is the evening classes seem to get less attention than the morning as far as events they offer. The morning is very active were as the evening just seems on auto pilot with the feeling no one really cares what goes on after 5pm. It is a school and you do get what you put into it, overall I think its one of the better campus's in the area, more so even than EPCC which I did not like and dropped after a semester. If they could offer more computer classes like I mentioned, or more programs in general along with new cutting edge technology instead of some of the dated equipment they use I would rate this school 5 stars. However even though its a good school overall they do fall short in a few areas.
