This one in 30 Mile Rd., in Washington is the closest to my house. The day prior, I called to confirm that my information was in the system and that they had all the information about what I was having done. Needless to say, what I was having done had never been done at this location before. Wow. I was going to be a "first" for them. After the employee checked with her supervisor, it was confirmed that my blood draws could in-fact be done at this location. I was informed to come in when they opened at 8am, as my samples needed to be send out immediately after at the 12pm pick up. I arrived and this is when confusion began. The ladies were very unknowing about what I was having done. Again, my procedures have never been done at this location before and they weren't even sure that could do my draws here. After 30 minutes and many phone calls on their behalf to the Henry Ford in Detroit, all was sorted out. I wasn't upset, by any means or frustrated. I knew this was a big deal and was certain my advocate would sort it out, which she and the Dr. at the Detroit location did. I had a LOT of blood drawn. Jenn, was amazing. She was careful and kind and repeatedly asked if I was ok and/or feeling ill or uncomfortable. I took it like a champ. Everything got taken care of, even if there was a few hiccups I still rate this location very high and would recommend.

Proper Staffing levels are a weak area. It shows up in call buttons not being answered for up to two hours. It shows up in erratic performance by the kitchen. Meal times are inconsistent. A Resident better not need ANYTHING during 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM meal service. It's all hands on deck, no time for patient care The kitchen has run out of basics like milk. Devastating to a patient who only has milk for breakfast. Happened twice this year. Today, for the second time in six weeks, a medication was not available. Apparently someone didn't order it. Truicity was ordered at a low dose for four weeks. It is injected weekly. Dose #1 was administered last Tuesday morning, about 9 AM. This week, Tuesday, the patient called at 6PM, still no shot. Nurse reports it is out of stock at the facility. Logic suggests this has been known for 7 days. Communication within the facility is poor. Training seems to be after the fact.

For days, staff ignored her complaints of severe stomach and chest pain. I repeatedly asked for basic diagnostic testing (like a stool culture), but they failed to act until it was nearly too late. On top of the medical neglect, her basic physical care was appalling: I found her sitting in heavily soiled garments, left with spoiled food that had been sitting out for days, and covered in unexplained bruises that no nurse could account for. The staff dynamic is completely unacceptable: * Employees are flirting, acting inappropriately in the parking lot and dining room in front of eating residents, and smoking marijuana on site. * The management is dismissive and hostile, acting like friends with the staff instead of doing their job. * Staff members regularly use explicit racial slurs in the building and meet family members who speak up with attitude and hostility. * The hallways consistently smell terrible. The ONLY exception was one single staff member who showed genuine care and compassion--she deserves all the praise in the world. Otherwise, this facility is entirely unfit to care for human lives. All sessions felt like a waste of time and my child and myself gained nothing from it. It was disheartening and I wish I had pulled him out sooner to go where we are at now. Almost a year went by and absolutely no progress. The therapists were always late at the start time and early to get us out. The turnover of staff is shocking; we've changed therapists numerous times so essentially we had to start all over again with each new, inexperienced person. The worst though is definitely the billing, it's absolute mayhem. I am currently still dealing with incompetent employees at this place and it has actually gotten worse. I highly, highly recommend looking elsewhere.
