Wow this place has really went downhill.. the theater was the absolute most dirty nasty sticky funky theater I have EVER been in.. it takes 20 min just to buy tickets and get concession. The computers are constantly not working. The manager or whoever she was walks around with an uppity attitude.. why I have no idea because you SUCK AT YOUR JOB!!!!!!! Went there to watch a Christian show finale and had an awful experience. First, they showed these horrific ads that were disgusting. Then we waited for a long time and eventually another movie came on. The workers said they would not be showing it so we went there for no reason. Went to see Mandalorian and Grogu - the popcorn machine was broken and the first theater (Screen 1) we went to was too dark to see much of anything. The staff (kids that work there are friendly and helpful or this would be a 1 star review) said Screen 2 was a better and was only 45 minutes later. We waited. Screen 2 was in fact better but still dark and blurry. I went home and checked trailer. The screen was too dark and unfocused. Additionally all soap dispensers in the men's restroom were broken. Would love to have a nice local theater. Right now this is not it. read more

sometimes it's cold in there and you have to bring a blanket to always have that prepared if you need one also so I love going there

Went there yesterday to see a movie, and the screen was so dark we couldn't see anything if it was a night scene , could only see if it was an outside scene ...my son had been really wanting to see Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, and I did to, I knew I should have went somewhere else, but that place is close to where I live, and I thought id give them another shot, but just as it is there sometimes, movies are to dark to see because they either can't afford to change out projector bulb, or are just milking them...either way , they ruined the movie for us, I'll just keep driving to the Barboursville mall movies or Nitro from now on......the one poor kid working there was really friendly and the popcorn was good,but that's about it, what a shame . read more

Currently 82° in here. They say the air is out of their control. Each time I bring my family here there is hardly anyone working and they're always out of food or drinks at the concession stand. One theater that is decent in the area and this place would go bankrupt. Workers are always nice on the plus side. read more

Probably one of the worst theaters I've ever visited. No one was at the front desk or ticket booth when I went into the establishment. Had to wait at the counter for someone to show up. Movie picture quality was horrible. Very grainy. Half way through the movie, the movie just stopped. I waited but no movie. I go back out to again an empty lobby and no one at the desk. Wait again, complain about the movie stopping. They said they would look into it. Still sitting in the dark 5 minutes later and still no movie. My advice...go home, turn your lights out and your TV off and save the $16.50. Eventually they tell us that the lamp went out in the projector and they can't fix it right now so we didn't get to finish the movie. I did however ask for a refund in which they did grant the request. Visit a nicer, more staffed theater and pass on this one. The movie, if interested was The Invitation. read more

Today, I went with a small group to see "80 For Brady" at 1:15. There was no waiting to get a ticket or snacks. Theater was clean and we were able to get a good center seat with a crowded theater. I noticed right away once the previews started one of the speakers had a loud buzzing sound. Very noticeable when the preview switched movies. It wasn't as noticeable once the main movie started. But in quiet scenes it was noticeable once again. I am giving it three stars for the equipment not being perfect. read more

It's a theater. They show movies. Service is fine. Seats are a bit dated and old. This is not one of those theaters with recliners and couches - this is more of the classic style, though the chairs are comfy and do rock some. The theaters are starting to show some wear, however, it's generally well maintained and the bathrooms are usually clean. They have special pricing for seniors, which is nice since this theater is close to where my parents live. In all, a solid theater. read more

Nice local theatre for Teays Valley crowd. Shows most current and popular films. My only suggestion would be to reserve one theatre for indie films. We have to drive into Park Theatre in Charleston to see any movies that are not mainstream. Otherwise love the convenience of not having to get on the highway, to go to the movies! read more

I enjoy going to movies here. Tuesday night is great. We attend at least once a month.

I will NEVER go back to this theater again! We had my daughter's birthday party there this past weekend and it was the worst experience. Everything we were told on the phone when booking it was false. We were told that we could set up for the party at 11:30 and the party would start at noon then the movie would start at 1:30. When we arrived for set up at 11:30 there was only one car in the parking lot. We knocked on the door for a number of minutes and when the manager opened the door she informed us that we were "lucky" she was even there in the most hateful voice. First off- how rude!! She didn't say hello or anything. She didn't show us where we were supposed to be just pointed us in the general direction where there lights were off. I was also told on the phone that parents that were wanting to attend the movie would receive discounted tickets. I have been to a number of movie parties in the past at different locations and this has never been a problem. I was informed by the manager that the information I received on the phone was wrong that they weren't "allowed" by the movie creators to give a discount. The only reason that they children received discounts was because they were getting a party pack refreshment. So I asked if the parents could receive a small discount on popcorn or a drink when manager quickly shot that idea down. She was sitting in the floor restocking. She didn't even bother to get up to talk to me as if I was such an inconvenience even just standing there!!! So we had this conversation yelling across a number of employees, parents, and kids because she was too lazy to get up!!! Second- RUDE!!!! Our party didn't have a designated section to watch the movie. There weren't any rows reserved for us. So the party was split up into various parts of the theater. A ton of parents opted out of watching the movie because they didn't receive the discount and would rather pay full price to watch something else so I was limited on the amount of adults in the theater. What's the benefit of having a party at a movie if they can't even sit together? Ridiculous- but I will admit this was my fault because I had just assumed that there would be a designated area for a PARTY reserved for that time slot. I was told on the phone that they would do the clean up. This was NOT the case!!! I was told as the movie was starting that we needed to clean the area and get our stuff out. Then to turn off the lights when we were done!!! So needless to say- with limited parent supervision we had to leave the kids and we missed the first part of the movie that we paid FULL price for to CLEAN the party room!!! Absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! How lazy can they be??? Pure laziness!! And while we were cleaning the lazy manager sent a high school employee in (she didn't even come see how we were doing or ask if we needed anything) to ask us if we could pay NOW!!! So not only are we cleaning, not chaperoning our party, but we needed to stop right then and PAY?? Really??? So out of 9 birthday parties I have had with my child this has been the worst experience!! I will NOT recommend having a birthday party with this company or that specific location!! They need to replace management and hopefully get their act together. I was very disappointed with our experience!! We were never checked on or asked if we needed ANYTHING!!! Only treated as if we were an inconvenience!! read more

Well, I don't think Julie was very fair in giving this place a real chance. I went with my husband, Victor to see that nice comedy movie We Are Neighbors too. We love that Seth Rogen. Anyways as soon as I stepped into the door I could smell that beautiful buttery popcorn. A sense of nostalgia for Victor and I, taking us back to our old dates when we were kids! I was greeted by a nice young blonde girl at the front desk and Victor and her exchanged some funny jokes. I eagerly skipped over to that sinful popcorn. Victor pulled out that leathery wallet, as if he knew what was going to happen. A nice young boy named Jesse informed me of a number 3. Victor was happy to save money on me. He's cheap but he knows how to treat his lady. The boy gave me two more spins of popcorn butter, and my mouth got so moist. A nice red head man pointed me in the direction of my movie. He looked like that new singer from England! Anyways we got great seats and Victor put his arm around me all movie. The movie was funny and Seth Rogen didn't disappoint. 10/10, this place is a part of Victor and I now. I will seek solace here if anything ever happens to my Victor. read more

I've been to this theater many times. and the experiance I had this Saturday was horrible to say the least. We walked in and purchased tickets to see IT and purchased the refillable bucket which I may never use and a large soda the actual manager is whom waited on us. purchased our tkts and went to the theater 10 when we got in their we actually thought it was warm and about 30 minutes into the movie it was so stuffy and hot you couldn't breath I have medical conditions and medications that make the heat very untolorable but other than that everyone was fanning themselves. so I decided to get up to go ask to have the air turned up which made me miss some of the movie. I got to the counter to speak with the night time mgr. and his response was yes the ac is out Ive had complaints all day ok complaints all day not one sign was up not once when he waited on us was it mentioned that theirs no ac in the theater mind you it was 90 degrees outside and even worse in a stuffy theater with at least 50 people in their. I was not offered a refund or to come back another day so i suffered thru the movie and was ill that night and the next day I had a migraine and upset stomache and all i got was yeah people have been complaining all day. the next time your ac is out it would be nice to be a little more attentive and considerate to your customers.
