I needed a very specific item recently (RS232 to USB adapter) and it's not something you can find just anywhere that sells say telephone charge cables and they had it. I went online to see stock levels which are broken down by stores in the entire region per item and thankfully they had it. It was sort of an urgent need and being close and usually having what I need in stock is a good thing.
