In less than ten minutes the part that had broken was removed WITHOUT opening up the computer or needing to replace the internal part of the plug. They had a brand new power supply in stock, and after verifying the computer booted up and worked, only charged me for the power supply. I was so impressed with the gentleman who helped me. I did not use their services but this was my experience. I brought in a gaming laptop I bought for…read more$450 a few years ago (it was a Victus of FB marketplace). I set it down and told him it wouldn't turn on and explained what I tried. He told me his rate was $125 per 30 minutes and he wouldn't even touch it until I agreed. So he didn't know if he could even fix it let alone how long or if there would be added costs for the fix. He told me this was a "VERY fair rate". So this was WAY more than I expected to pay being an hour of work equated to over half the cost of my device. I then went to Micro Center down the road who could diagnose it for $80 flat and would help cover any costs of the fix. I went with Micro Center and they fix my computer and returned it 3 days later for $120 total. Now I think this business could've fixed my computer same day but I would've guessed at double the price and I didn't mind waiting. Overall I'm giving this a 2 because it seems expensive and telling me it was a fair rate seemed dishonest. The one employee wasn't overall very mean or anything but he came across as unwilling to help or answer any questions I had.
