Signed up for this in 2022 and was told by the sales rep I would be able to cancel if I felt it wasn't for me, so that was the only reason I signed up. I signed up for the Launch Academy and I gave it a year. When I decided it was not for me and I was just wasting money, I reached out to cancel and guess what? You guessed it, basically I was screwed. They will not let you out. FYI, if you are a one person shop, do not join! This consumes so much of your time and you will more than likely get nothing out of it as I did. I am basically burning $1000 per month for nothing. They do absolutley nothing for you and you will do everything. I will just chalk this up to a bad business decision and wait till the end of the year for my contract to run out, hopefully they let me out and not auto renew. I have emailed them numerous times to make sure it does not auto renew. I will update at that time. I would recommend Glass Hive as a CRM and Marketing platform for MSP's. Great content unlike TMT. TMT has outdated material and uses scare tactics for marketing, I use absolutely nothing from TMT. Hope this helps the next person not to become another victim. read more

Ultimately you don't get to see much of how it works until you sign a two year contract that they will not let you out of. Their pre-made ads are dated, and in my experience don't work, their website is clunky, and once I got access and tried using it, it became abundantly obvious this wasn't designed for anyone with technical ability but for sales guys who don't understand tech and need some buzzwords to use in high pressure pitches. Ultimately their sales guys are great at their jobs, and once you're signed up you can't get out for two years so you have a sunk cost of thousands of dollars for mediocre at best tools and services, but hey you get to watch live streams of a MSP version of MLM/televangelist level cringy events. read more

While they do send out A LOT of stuff and have some decent premade stuff, I have had no luck with any of it. The main issue I have is to even try it you have to sign a 2 year contract and they will not let you out of it so you're stuck with a monthly bill for a minimum 2 years regardless of whether or not they deliver on their promise to increase your business, which to me comes off as a terrible business model. Also note this service is obviously made for "sales" people more than technical people and much of the material does look quite dated. There are better services for cheaper with no contract that I have had much better luck with. read more

Looks like she stole a bunch of info graphics and newsletters from the 90s, and then pushes them onto people with such bad taste that they can't see how awful it is. If I got any of this garbage in my email/mail I would immediately think "this is either a scam, or a really terrible business who doesn't know what they're doing." I would delete it. This program is sugar-coated to make it look like it will deliver results for your business, been warned it won't!!. Sign up for different level plans and you will receive more promises and costs more. The toolkit comprises a CRM, and Email shots, videos that keep you engaged but do nothing to help win new customers. It's a bit of a con in my opinion if you try and cancel after 3 months, you have to pay to leave the plan!!.. I would not recommend it to anyone, totally a waste of time, with outdated email templates and just the usual sales pattern you probably already have an idea about. TL;DR Even though they say "a no-small-print money-back guarantee" there actually is fine print on the money back guarantee that they don't show you or tell you on the phone. They expect you to find it on their website and when questioned they direct you to read their website. I try hard to be a positive person and don't even like leaving less than a 4 star review on Yelp. I've gone back and forth on whether to even write this. I don't want to think about the drama from their response to this review. I just want to move on. My biggest motivator is in hopes that someone else benefits from what we learned the hard way. First, I'd like to say there is definite value in the program for some, potentially even most, MSPs. It's totally worth looking at and even trying out. If you're putting energy and time into sales and marketing then you might as well. Not much to lose. It feels a little "icky" but most sales/marketing feels a little icky. If nothing else, it probably helps you get comfortable with a little more icky which may be a good thing. In the end, we found that the materials, recommendations, and approach just didn't line up with our target customer base or how we wanted to approach marketing. We're also not your typical MSP and that's not the relationship we target. We don't have a dedicated sales/marketing position but we definitely put time and effort into making it work. In the end, we just didn't use it and didn't find value from it. That is all well and fine. No problems so far. We were in a tough spot as a company when we engaged with RR/TMT and were looking for a way to really ramp up new business. We were a little put off by all the packages/mail that arrived from TMT but our MSP consultant @ Sea Level Operations suggested we give them a shot to see if it worked for us. We got on a call with TMT and the sales person was amazing - not in a bad way - genuinely great all around. It was their VP of Business Development & Client Coaching. We really liked him, his approach felt genuine, he even offered flexibility on paying a little slower for the program. We thought that if we could sell like he could sell then we'd be golden. We jumped into signing up and even booking the conference/training that was coming up in less than a month. The thing that really closed the deal was the money back guarantee on everything but the flights, car, and hotel. Minimal risk. Huge potential upside. We put a lot of effort into making this work for us. The material had to be heavily modified to fit our approach and the feedback we got just didn't line up with how we wanted to be known here locally in this area. We worked at it for maybe 7-8 months but eventually it was just easier to come up with our own methods and processes that fit our approach. All was good so far. Still all very positive. The problems began when it came time to make a call on the "no-small-print money-back guarantee". On the sales call there was no mention of fine print or limitations on the refund. There was no paperwork follow-up to confirm it - nothing other than relying on the verbal guarantee without limitations. If you're not happy, we'll give you your money back. Period. We trusted this and dove in. 7-8 months later when we requested the refund we were quickly issued a refund by the client concierge and happily went on with life. It wasn't until 3-4 months later when we were looking over transactions that we noticed that only a partial refund was given. We got a little less than half of our money back. I reached out for the remaining refund of $5,497 and got a reply from the same VP that sold us during the initial phone call! He told us that the classroom training portion was only refundable within 7 days of completion of the class. Yes, the same VP that failed to mention this during the initial phone call was the guy put in charge of enforcement. He sent us a screenshot of their website. Not a signed contract, not previous emails sent to us, nothing other than their website. We had absolutely no idea. This wasn't mentioned on the sales call and wasn't told to us. We had multiple people on the sales call and no one heard anything about this limitation! I initially reacted very strongly against his reply and was pissed. My email was ignored but I can't really fault someone for ignoring my email when I was as aggressive as I was. The lingering issues I have with this result are: 1) A website can be changed on a moments notice. 2) You can hardly expect your customers to read through your entire website before engaging. 3) This limited guarantee was not mentioned on the call. 4) 7 days after is hardly enough time to recognize if a program is going to work or not. Obviously, I would love to get the promised refund but at this point my hopes are pretty low. Please don't make the mistake we did. Don't trust the sales call fully - look for the fine print they don't tell you. read more

Not sure this is worth the money. I am not sure if it's East Coast thing vs West Coast, but this is twice that I am been insulted directly by members of the organization. I would have expected a higher level of decorum and professionalism from the CEO of a company than was displayed as a comment made to a post that I made. Basically, I was told, in not a very nice way.. Shut Up and Don't question us. Another specific example is Robin uses some very salty language for being in a professional setting. You have to a LOT of money allocated for this project, since every time I turned around they were strongly recommending a CRM and Dialer and class and road-show and purchasing of a list and.. and... I roughly spent $8,000+ for no results. Several of the do-it-for-you items are not really Do It For You. They give you a template, but it is up to you to actually do, so.. .not really done for you. The pluses are the website building and landing pages are really useful, very functional and the hosting company is really responsive and great to work with. A lot of advertising documents and materials that are easily customizable for your use. There is an area that you can chat, post questions that the user community answers, which is great to have a peer give you a non-biases answer and they are not trying to sell you something. All in all, IF I had to do it over, I would not spend the money. read more

After attending one of Robin's seminars this past week, I had to counter the other (negative) review on this site. Although Robin's group spends a lot of time and energy up-selling, her program does provide real value. After hearing her speak this morning, it was obvious that she is passionate about what she does, and has experience to back her advice. In four days of feeding, rewarding, training, entertaining and encouraging 800 attendees, she and her staff delivered an excellent program that I already paid to attend again next year. I'm a cheap skeptic, and I haven't quite bought into her upper tier marketing packages, but most everything she offers comes with a money-back guarantee. The one time I tried to take her up on the guarantee, her staff worked to get me happy while making it clear that they would refund all my money if that was what I wanted. After talking with a dozen or so random attendees this week who had bought full service packages, I became confident that If you have an IT business, a willingness to follow her instructions, and enough money to afford her services, Robin's program can improve your income. I didn't meet a single person who was unhappy with their arrangement with TMT, and I was looking hard. I don't know Robin, don't owe her money, and haven't bought into the "full meal deal" marketing program she offers, but based on my 2+ year relationship with her company as a non-compliant client, I don't thing the 1 star review below is representative of what she offers. read more

What Robin Doesn't want you to know about The Technology Marketing Toolkit: I had to send Everything back. This stuff lurked in my email spam box for 8 years before I had enough spare money laying around to buy it just to see if it was as useless as I thought it was. At first, I almost thought it was worthwhile, then I snapped back to reality and realized: All of this stuff is recycled marketing material from several years ago, probably closer to 10+ years ago at this point. You see it on half of the computer businesses out there these days (they all paid about 3,000 for it). Let's just say that most of it advises you to promote your services for free to get into a new client, while "Robin commands 1500 per hour for her marketing services"...... Nicely put, so its basically a do as I say, not as I do concept. If you were to do what Robin does, you would be targeting the MSP channel, and selling them services. Not the right model behind the business. While free is nice for friends and family, if you walk into a place for free; you are devalued 9 out of 10 times before you exit the place. The facts are here: There is more money to be made just in reselling niche services to the computer services industry than there is selling computer support services to other businesses, and people like Robin are well aware of that; more so than computer industry business owners. Its much harder to grow an MSP business in general than it is to sell services to one, especially when most MSP business owners are tech guys and don't really know how to sell Ice to an eskimo. When you find a crafty sales person like Robin, sometimes its easy to make the mistake of thinking they are genuine, when in reality: every last action is motivated by what is more profitable (and nothing else). What's worse is that you can't even use the toolkit unless you modify it, which will cost you more in redesign work than the toolkit costs itself, and then when you go to return it/ you have to throw away the kit + the investment into it. They will pull of the "licensing" and "copywrite" from you- almost to the point where they try to shut you out of business. In order to be successful in the computer business, you really need to have a vertical market these days, and the kit comes with basic computer repair or free network assessment. A lot of it is based on the concept that you have to only do sales/ marketing or at least have a dedicated recourse in your business to the marketing / sales work (which is true). But, for some people, it might work. I think there are better choices for your hard earned money. At least pick something that you OWN, and not material that someone can pull out from underneath you if the relationship goes sour.... My honest opinion. I could go on with my long list of bad experience with the TMTK and Robin, including different stories and lies between her and her staff. In our case, Robins staff shared with us (in writing) that part of the price of a product {we were interested in} called the MSP Contracts was paid to a co-author and payment plan/arrangement wasn't available for that item because they had to give that co-author person money for each sale. The money driven Robin gives a different story, lying through her teeth and publicaly flamed and put me down she denied such and called me a lier. The end result is my staff says it best, you two are acting like children (myself for being a dissapointed and screwed customer that complained, and Robin for being a lier and her revokation of materials b.s.) Be warned!!! Our experience is paying for and using the the marketing materials for a year until Robin's b.s. and letters saying we were being terminated as a client and no longer could legally use any material whatsoever. So in english the postcards, newsletters, and different content throughout my business in which originated from the TMTK in some way or form, and content I've used for over a year, and because I offended Robin by speaking up or pointing out something that could be improved in her business, Robin's response is to say I can't legally continue to use the materials we've been using. This lady is contradictive at best, while she teaches to ASK your clients and survey them and get their input and then apply those suggestions to improve your business. Robin's interest is not in bettering her business, delivery, or service, but rather my experience has given me the opinion all Robin care's about is how much money she can milk out of her clients. Yes, the material can save you time being done for you and ready to use, however, it's getting less unique with more and more competitors using the same newsletters, postcards, website(s), etc. Spend your money elsewhere, before dumping it on the TMTK. This lady teaches, primarily, the selling of ready done marketing materials/campaigns, such as postcards, newsletters, book(s), etc. of which you just plop your company info on and send out. She taught that we must Track everything, every number, every figure, etc... And market heavily offline, newsletters, postcards, phone calls, etc. Most of the marketing materials (outside of an optimized website for conversion of visitors to leads) are offline, hard copy items. The sparkle and glitter before paying Robin is almost irresistable; it just seems to good to be true.. We had a terrible experience with Robin, and if you experience the same, you'll end up not only dissapointed, let down, and screwed unable to legally continue using your same marketing materials just like me, The closest analogy I can think of is after buying and moving into a new home, a year later, the bank kicking you out and refunding you your payments/money and saying you can't live in your home anymore. That is a ridiculous concept at best, and that is the business practice of this lady Robin Robins!!
