This is located in the…read moreHorry County Courthouse in Conway. the courthouse functions are to the right, and to the left was the assesors office, where we can pay property taxes, which in SC, includes our cars. We were here to pay a tax on our new vehicles before heading to the DMV to get our licenses. Went to the assessors office, in the lobby was a friendly person who walked us in the right direction on where to go. She also answered our questions on applying for residentcy here. She supplied us with a list and lots of information which was helpful. We then went to the assessors office, and by the time we got there, there was no line. Person was friendly, and we took care of business. Pleasant transaction despite lots of papers. We then also went to the treasurer's office to pay the balance that was assessed. Everyone was pleasant at that office.

I just moved from a furnished home to an unfurnished, so I'm literally shopping every day. I can't imagine if I was disabled and with no car. That is unacceptable. I not even live in a building that could justify that. I live in a home with no gate, no code. They have access direct to my door. I never had problems with FEDEX or UPS. They are great and always put my packages on my door. And when I try to ask then at the facility they are always extremely rude to me and not even answer my question. USPS became a nightmare mare on my life! I wish I could give zero stars

I especially appreciate the outdoor book drop--you can return books even when the library is closed. Signing up for a library card was straightforward and easy. The library offers printing for a small fee and has many computers available for free public use. There are plenty of tables throughout the space, both in the center and along the sides, making it a great place for independent work or studying. There's also a clearly separated children's book area, which helps keep the space organized and family-friendly. Right when you walk in, you can browse retired library books for sale at a steep discount--often just $1--which is such a fun bonus. My favorite feature is how easy it is to order books online and place them on hold--they'll text you as soon as your book is ready for pickup, which is incredibly convenient. Overall, a well-run, accessible library that makes great use of its space and services. Highly recommend.

I was visiting family down in this part of the country for the past week and during one of our…read moreadventures together we passed by the old Myrtle Beach Train Depot. This railway station has not been in public service since the 1950's I was told but the building still stands and on the nearby rails stand both a decommissioned box car and caboose. Neither of these is open for public exploration inside but the train depot building itself is. Inside the small facility are numerous photographs from across the stations history and a few related relics. There is a time capsule as well which was sealed in May of 2004 and is set to be opened in May of 2054. In the rear of the station which probably originally served as the waiting room area and some office space is a publicly accessible room but I did not go into it as there was a family function happening at the time. My guess is that they rent this room out and let people bring in catered fare. You can stand on the place where the platform used to let passengers on and off but mind your step and the same can be said for the tracks. The two cars can be posed in front of by I discourage climbing on them as all for the sake of your own safety. I was glad we chanced upon this since the photos will make for good blogging and Instagram material.

I bring in my packages for my small business here maybe once a week…read morewhen I am in the area (I usually use the Conway Post office and they are not always in a good mood but never rude). The staff here I have dealt with is all very nice except for a lady with short dark curly hair. She sighs and makes nasty faces at me. I usually bring 2-3 small packages in mailers. Just to have them scanned and to get a receipt because I need to be sure I have proof for the app I use to sell. She makes sure to be so kind and generous with praise to the people who drop the packages on the crowded table for drop off. She makes it clear it is a a HUGE inconvenience to scan 3 4-5 ounce mailers and hand me a receipt. She chucks my mailers with aggressive force as though hoping to damage them. I have never been so disappointed in my life with a postal worker! I always smile and just say" good afternoon! I just need a receipt for these please!" Ask her how she is (she ignores me). And tell her I hope she has a good day (she also ignores this) I'm not sure what I have done to wrong. It's not like it takes more than 30 seconds in all to complete the transaction. I feel disrespected and anxious when I end up having her as my clerk. I triple check to be sure they didn't lose my packages (I would be out the shipping and my item) that's why I always need a receipt. It's not a fun game for me it's how I afford to buy food and pay for gas with the crazy high inflation!
