I mean, its a park with teddy bears, what more could you ask for. We were heading down to downtown Stillwater for brunch, and we parked right near this park. We made a mental note to stop in after our bite to see what it had going on. Cut to an hour later after some good eats we waled into this park. I don't know the history of how this place came to be but it must be interesting. I've never seen a park like it. There were huge concrete teddy bears all over. Kids wee playing around them and we of course took some pics with them. Personally i enjoyed that it was up again the epically large bluffs from the river. the steep cliffs were beautiful and a great backdrop for the park. It's not very large, and there isnt much else to do in the park, but it's definity a spot to stop into and admire. read more

Cute park! As an adult with no kids, I only stopped by to capture a photo of the giant teddy bear statue- my inner child needed it (as I was actually visiting on my Bday). Overall it looks like a really fun park for kids, if I did have kids I would for sure take them here to play, if in the area. read more

This is a great park to stop at on a day trip to Stillwater. Unique in its set up. My toddler had a lot of fun which is really all I can ask for. I thought it was pretty cool that part of the park was designed to look like the liftbridge. Definitely pair with a day touring Stillwater read more

We absolutely love teddy bear park! One of out favorite parks in Stillwater...it's adorable. Lots of cute photo ops with all the bear statues. Even a cool lift bridge playground with 3 different slides. Great for littles and bigger kids. A must for those visiting Stillwater with kiddos. A train playground set...and even a climbing wall (the actual stone from the city). There's a cute gazebo for sitting and plenty of benches all around! One of our favs. They also upgraded the sand pit to wood chips in 2024. They are open this weekend only (March 2-3) for the warm weather. Go outside and play! read more

We were in Stillwater anyway for a boat cruise. On Google maps this park was nearby. Since we already paid $5 for parking at boat lot, we parked kiddy corner from the park in the pay lot. There were no signs on main Street saying Teddy Bear Park that I could see. Driving by, I saw the tops of teddy bears and we turned around at the top of the hill. A few photo ops were done. Cute park if you have little ones. read more

One of the most fun kids parks in the Twin Cities. 1. Your in old town Stillwater 2. They have great play structures 3. They have seating for parents and some of it is shaded 4. Bathrooms 5. Sandpit and climbing structures 6. Great food all around, it's walkable and it's feee. Park on the street for free or for $3 you can park behind main near the river. Beautiful Hidden Treasure A Few Blocks From Main Street! We were in town for a long lost family meet up and had some time to use, we made a little detour up a hill and found this wonderful treasure! This is a real gem of a place for families and children! Teddy bear themed park with great playground equipment that our son was so happy playing here! I have to say this was the most memorable place on our trip to Stillwater Minnesota! Whatever you do, do not forget to bring the kids and spend some time here if you are in the area! PS: It was created/donated by a generous family according to the plaque. Good job giving to the children of the community and visitors like our family as well! read more

This place is a little wonderland for kids. It gets busy, but is well worth the stop. Whimsical and fun and something to appeal to different ages. The natural looking rock wall that kids can climb and jump off of into the sand is a big hit for bigger kids and there is plenty for smaller kids too. Awesome location right in downtown, partially up the hill a bit. read more

This was a cute park. Lots of adorable photo opportunities. It also has free parking near and bathrooms, which is a bonus. It's not very big, so we didn't stay too long. It's a nice stop after having a meal with kids. Most likely most appropriate for 1.5-5 year olds (seemed a bit young for my 6-year old niece but she still enjoyed it). My one issue is that the side walk is broken near it and very steep, and my stroller almost tipped over with my daughter. With so many kids around there, they need to be careful... read more

I went here a few years ago with some cousins and my aunt and it was so cute. Made me feel like a kid again. Love this park so much.

My daughter loved this park until she got too old. This park has some great photo ops though so even as an adult you can come here to get some fun pictures taken. The park is at the top of a steep hill from the main drag in Stillwater. There is a small parking lot across the street which is generally full during the summer busy season. This is a great place for the wee ones. They will marvel at the big concrete teddies, the chance to climb the rock wall (no safety equipment, climb at your own risk) and the multiple play structures. They have a really nice building on site that can be rented out for events and there are public restrooms as well. Plenty of places to sit as there are stone benches set into the hillside on one end of the park. There are also water fountains for all the kiddos running around and working up a thirst and a nice picnic shelter with limited seating. I knocked one star off because the park can get pretty crowded and kids are jockying for a chance to climb the wall or get pictures with the giant teddy at the park entrance. Plus it just isn't that big so it doesn't take long before kids can start to get bored and want to leave. read more

I'll say this, Parking is a real BEAR. I heard moms talk about Teddy Bear Park before, but never paid it much thought until this weekend. I thought it would be fun to take our nephew to this park while he visited us over the weekend. We loaded up the family truckster and headed on over to Teddy Bear Park detours and all. Stillwater is always busy and parking is a hassle, but even more so to get to this park. The parking lot is really small and really packed. Be prepared to sit, wait and pounce on the first available spot that becomes available which can be awhile. Be prepared for some demolition derby style driving while people try to make their own lanes and sneak around to ace people out of a spot when they see that unsuspecting family going to their car to leave. The website photographs make this place look way different than it is. The website makes it look huge and looks like it could go on for miles.....Not the case. It's a smallish confined area with two statuesque bears, some slides, a big rock wall to jump off if you're brave enough, a few picnic tables and some bathrooms that could use a good cleaning. (At least they had some). They have a room that can be rented for parties. Honestly, when we arrived and saw the area, we were all like. OH, that's it. It's cute and a nice place for the kiddos, just not sure I would drive all that way again. There are much closer parks sans the bears and creative angle photography that are just as good and closer. read more

Great unique park for the little ones to play for hours! Has sand pits lots of places to climb and it's all well enclosed. We walked down to the dockside cafe for lunch afterwards. The kids loved watching the boats on the water! Stillwater is a Great place for a day trip! read more

This is a medium sized, cute playground with some nice equipment and a few giant teddy bear statues plopped around the area to provide the namesake. I'd say it's mostly geared toward the 3-5 year old. My 2 and 4 year olds loved it for 90 minutes. It's easy to keep an eye on them and the whole area is fenced in with one exit so you can't lose them. It's not going to beat the majestic grandeur of a Hyland Play Area, but for what this playground is (small town in the city district) it's great. read more

My kids all love Teddy Bear Park. They have things for all ages, which is really nice. My older girls can go play in the big tree house while the toddlers climb on stuff a bit lower to the ground. I appreciate the soft ground surface as well. The park is fully fenced in with just a single opening which makes it especially nice when trying to keep an eye on all my kids playing in different parts of the park. read more

My kids love this park and it's a great for a family photo op. The park is on a steep hill so it can be a hassel with strollers. Parking can be a little tough in the summer but I'd highly recommend it for families with little kids. I wouldn't recommend going on the weekend during the summer. It can get busy and hectic and too much people makes it hard for a family photo. read more

This is a great park...for younger kids 7 and under. We actually just went here today and while my 5 year old was having the time of her life, our 9 year old was bored. Another thing, we've been coming here off and on for years and I've noticed parents here tend to sit on their phones quite a bit so be prepared for the kids with 0 supervision. read more

I had relatives visiting from Joliet, Illinois and we visited Teddy Bear Park on our journey through Stillwater. Jake and Loren thoroughly enjoyed the park and asked to go back everyday they were here.
