On that note, basically it is a very nice simple location with adequate facilities and reasonable prices. It's definitely not as fancy as you might get somewhere else, but it's not trying to be. So if you're just looking for a place to go practice your swing, this is great. Relaxed atmosphere and a little bit of quiet without driving to a country club is great. They also have a simple mini golf section. It's really definitely not their main feature. And in the offseason times like Fall, you probably won't be seeing it cleaned much, so expect leaves on the course. That said, it's kind of like a seasonal Hazard that changes up if you think of it that way. You can tell people mostly come for the practice range. But on a plus side the lack of crowding means you would have a lot of fun with kids. And unlike other mini golf areas nearby, you don't have to contend with being quite as noisy. There isn't a lot of traffic on the nearby Road and you actually are set off well enough with trees to make it feel a little more easy-going.

But my girlfriend and I caught a weird vibe from the workers. It was Robert and another guy wearing an Irish golf cap unsure of his name. But I first picked out the club I was going to buy and it had an old timey leather golf grip, like something Bobby Jones would've used. I was wanting another MCC grip that matched all my other clubs to be put on the wedge. They both gave me a scuffled look like they didn't want to do that. They were persistent that this was a $50 golf grip and that I should keep it. It is not what I wanted and they were not very fond of me changing the grip. Robert eventually let me do it, but was very judgmental about it. I then wanted to see the different options available of grips and politely asked if I could walk to where the grips were. He gave me a pretty stern No. I understood, but overall was a weird interaction. Got my club and it was good work, But the workers interaction with me rubbed off the wrong way. I went back and got the head and asked did he want it, he said 'no', I don't want to fool with having it fixed. Since last summer, I've talked to several golf shops and pros at courses who do repair about getting it fixed. The conversation usually begins with: 'oh, I dunno, it might cost you a pretty penny'. I've not given up because I need a good 3 wood. Today, I called this shop and spoke to John. He asked some good questions and talked optimistically about the prospect of repair and replace with another shaft at a reasonable price. I took it in today and met with John who gave me a solid assessment and a reasonable estimate on repair PLUS a Senior discount! This is the kind of golf shop I'm willing to drive to from Fort Mill, SC. Great staff, 'can do' attitude and excellent customer service! Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

It's been four years since my last review & the 'first' review for this retailer…read more I've been playing a lot of golf the last 5 years since I retired and it takes some $ to replenish balls, tees, towels, shoes, belts etc, etc and it ain't cheap! You go here for the variety and selection of gear. If you check their website before driving in you'll find they have a good one with up to date info and prices. All the walking and I've lost about 35 pounds the last two years so I needed some new belts. They have a brand called Laze which I like. Lot's of variety, decent prices and the seem to last. I also like that you can 'join their frequent purchase' program and save some cash. They really don't put much of their clothing on sale during the season but that's to be expected. You will find they will be stocking the latest and greatest in most all the golf gear you're looking for, especially golf balls, you will pay a bit more because the won't be available at a discount on Amazon yet. I like to get there "EARLY' because it gets very crowded on the weekends. It was well staffed at check-out and I was able to get in/out real quick without a wait in line. Everyone was nice and helpful. As I suspected in my first post, the other Golf gear store in the same shopping center went out of business.

The prices are crazy high and the employees are either uninformed or terrible with customer service. I have visited this store probably 5 times in the last year. Every time I hope to run into the store (because it is the only one) and grab a pair of running shoes. I am familiar with good shoes and bad shoes so I just want to get a person's attention and get the shoes and leave. Each time I spend an hour in the store and end up with crappy shoes that cost over $100 and I end up walking out without any shoes.
