As with most links courses the greens are lightening fast and the wind can be challenging. The clubhouse has a bar and restaurant on the first floor overlooking the course and sea. The course is spread over the grounds of Killiow Estate and features natural water hazards and an abundance of mature trees. The driving range although adequate is expensive compared to others in the area and they have a strange rule forbidding bags so you need to decide which clubs you want to practice with and leave the rest in the car.

You get given a score card which tells you the par for each course and a map showing where is hole is. They also supply you with a putter and another club. We played all of the courses which took us about 2 hours. The course was well maintained and it was easy to follow the map. The entrance fee was relatively low and I felt it was good value for money. This is a great day out if you are inexperienced at golf like me but it's not confident players.
