You pay 7,50€ for a tiny snack. They do seem to get more expensive each year. As there is no alternative it's kindof a "lock in" thing. You can't bring in your own drinks either, so you once you are in you're burning money faster as your ex can spend it. It is tasty, but hugely overpriced. Because there isn't a real alternative (the "fries shop" also charges 3x normal prices) people accept this but it isn't right. When I stood in queue for ice-cream I thought I was going to pay 2,5€ per scoop as well (a "credit" costs 2,5€) but they were the only one's charging HALF a credit. Very very nice.

Seriously.. it is a once in a lifetime experience for some, a several in a lifetime for those lucky enough, and a never-got-a-chance-to-do-it for most others. The attention to detail and love for the customer/festival-goer is second-to-none. I attended w my gf and we camped out for 3 days straight, attended workout class at their amazing outdoor gym, met people from aroud the world, walked 30k steps, ate incredible food and dancing our hearts out to world-class DJ's. Did my entire body feel completely beaten up afterwards? Yup. DId I spend way too much money? Sure did. Did I average 4 hours sleep each night? That is true. Would I do it all again? You betcha!! I highly recommend everyone attend at least once... you won't regret it (probability speaking that is).

Bring layers and a poncho, plus extra shoes or waterproof ones - in July, it can be extremely hot during the day with sporadic rain showers and it gets quite chilly at night. I was fortunate enough to have stayed in Montagoe ("glamping" area) this year, which was amazing - will definitely be aiming for a spot there again in the future. The mainstage burned down two days before weekend one this year and I am so impressed by how quickly they pulled together another stage - it was much smaller and nowhere near what the original would have been but at least there was a stage! My heart goes out to all those who worked on the stage, set design, and festival though because I've heard they start planning stage designs like two years in advance and it must be so hard to have watched this happen. I've met so many fantastic people from all over the world. Can't wait to return to this magical place again!

editie 2025 mist heel veel van de vorige edities.We waren op vrijdag en zaterdag hier.De sfeer op…read morebeide dagen zeer goed.Op Groenplaats zijn er verschillende eetstanden maar op de Grote Markt enkel 3 grote bierstanden,op Suikerrui enkel pannenkoekenkraam.Waar zijn de standen waar je oesters kibbeling en andere lekkere gerechten kan eten .Ook zijn de prijzen voor de bieren aan de hoge kant.Vrijdag kon je het bolleke uit het authentieke glas krijgen zaterdag enkel uit een bekertje,een pure schande.Ja dit jaar een grote ontgoocheling.Hopelijk is editie 2026 een pak beter.

Eén van de meest gezellige festivals in België vind ik zelf. En ons klein landje is tijdens de…read morezomer toch wel echt bezaaid met grote en minder grote festivals. Ik ben hier slechts twee keer geweest, maar na de eerste keer wist ik al dat dit een jaarlijkse traditie ging worden. De toegangsprijs is niet laag, maar je krijgt hier dan ook wel echt de allergrootste namen uit de jazzscène te zien. Als jazz (muziek tout court dus) je ding is, maar je dat eens op een aparte manier wil beleven, dan moet je echt hier zijn.
