Most places including the Apple Store said it wasn't even worth attempting a fix. I didn't have it properly backed up and it was just awful as u can imagine. I asked Shang if I could fed ex it to him and just try, whatever he could do. I sent it from NYC to him and was trying to figure out what I would do if he couldn't fix it. Well, I am now using it to write this review! I got it back a month ago, quickly, and have NPs! It's all backed up too so I won't have that problem again. He said it might overheat and reboot or have some problems, but other than the battery itself being wonky, it works just fine! It'll carry me til the new model comes out, which is great. Time to upgrade anyway. Shang is VERY fair with his charges, and Fed ex'd it back to me super quick!!! I gave extra bc I felt he earned it and I'm grateful for the two jobs he has now done for me. I can't recommend Shang at this location enough!

He looked for an easy route for cabling without cutting the drywall. He found a way to route the ethernet cable through ceilings and closets and finally through to the garage wall adjacent to my Den office, He worked for at least 2-3 hours to complete this job. He also hooked up my receiver speaker wires to an adjacent Bathroom speaker through the ceiling and walls. He is a hard-working, knowledgeable individual with a great personality. The Springboard staff is so well trained and tries so hard to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. I brought my old Macbook in, they ran diagnostics on it to see if the hard drive was in good shape. Fortunately it is. We were easily able to transfer the data from the old computer to the new one. I was in an out in a hour with a fully functioning already set up Macbook plus my teenage daughter is now thrilled to have my old Macbook which was cleaned off and ready to go. I originally wanted to take this to the Genius Bar at the local Apple store, but they were booked for this entire week. I called this place around lunchtime and asked when their next available service time was, and I received a slot for 1pm - so quick! They charge the same amount as Apple for an iPhone 6 screen replacement ($109), the other places on South street charged $130 and 139.99, and the place in University City charges 165... Right as I walked in the door, the man took my phone and started repairing at his counter. He was done within 20 minutes and applied a screen protector at no charge. Not gonna lie, I felt pretty bored those 20 minutes without my phone, and realized how crippled I was without my mobile connection to the world... sad truth. He gave me a $5 discount for checking in with Yelp after asking me how I found out about his shop. Quick, friendly, and hopefully I'll never have to come back...
